Romance In the Big City
The walls were closing in on her. Working at a large corporation in New York City could be both exciting and suffocating, and today was definitely the latter. Sarah felt the monotony of the office walls closing in with each passing minute of the clock. It was the same thing every day: a full, uninspiring routine.
But then he walked in.
Sarah had heard the rumors about her boss's son, Stephen, but had not actually seen him until today. Her heart skipped a couple of beats as soon as he stepped over the threshold of the cubicle -filled office. She had never felt such an immediate and intense attraction to someone before.
He smiled at her and his gaze seemed to penetrate right through her. Sarah thought she was going to faint right then and there, but luckily he kept walking and she was able to stay composed. He said a few polite words of hello to everyone before he settled into the corner office, the same one that his father had occupied for many years.
Sarah couldn't concentrate on her work at all. All she could think about was how she wanted to get her hands on His face. She imagined the way his lips would feel against hers and her breathing quickened at the thought.
Her mind was racing with fantasies, and before she knew it, she was standing in the doorway to his office. She caught a glimpse of him sitting at his desk, looking focused and handsome. He looked up at her and there eyes locked. It was as if something passed between them in that moment and Sarah felt a spark light inside her.
They started spending more time together and eventually a hot romance developed between them. They had to be careful not to be too obvious about their relationship, for fear of getting in trouble with the company. But when they were alone, sparks flew and passion ignited.
Sarah had never felt such an immediate connection before and she felt like she could open up to Stephen in ways that she had never felt before with anyone else. She felt like she had found her match, in the unlikeliest of places.
The romance blossomed and they managed to stay out of trouble at work. But eventually, Stephen was offered a promotion in another state, and the two of them had to say goodbye.
She was heartbroken but knew that the love and passion they shared would live forever.
