Hidden Feelings
Episode 16:
I buried myself in my room with my swollen eyes.. Ummy came to me after some minutes to inquire about the incident that made me go wrathful towards Mahmoud.
"Tunrayo, why did you behave that way to Mahmoud? I called him here to ask some questions from him... He arrived not long ago.... Do you know he couldn't hold his tears seeing you talk to him in such manner... What really happened at Uthman's house?" My mother asked sitting beside me on the bed.
"He caused everything. Why won't I lash him that way? Uthman is hurting. And it happened because of him. Why did I even come back to Nigeria? I should have stayed over there peacefully. Since the first day I met him, I've been having problems.. It's either he shows face or text messages. Why didn't he profess his feelings long ago ? If he had done that, Uthman would have been informed from the beginning that I'm getting married to someone else." I said gasping.
"Muslimah, you're such a funny girl. Is that the reason why you were angry at him? I accept he should have expressed his feelings before now but he was scared. Do you know he actually tried to but that was the day you sent him out of your office." Ummy announced.

"Yes I do, I was afraid he saw what I wrote in my diary that day and got infuriated because he came into my office without normal procedure.. Though I later found out Kareemah was not on seat... But what he told Kareemah was that, he was sent by the MD. And the next day was the day I accepted Uthman's proposal." I replied calmly.
"My dear, the two of you were both guilty of this. You made a mistake of not telling your mother. He made a mistake of not being courageous to express his mind. He's suffering as well." She concluded.

Afterwards, we heard Alhaja's voice. Ummy went downstairs to see her and I followed.
