Ch.9 : The Heartbreak.


King Joshua : Eliana... please be strong! We will find Hunter.

Queen Eliana : How could I be strong! I lost my Rowena and now Hunter! I vowed to protect them but now it's gone! Joshua...you have changed...you are not the person whom I loved and married! You changed because of that Theodore! You used to save me from him and now I need to save myself from you!

She angrily went inside her room.

King Joshua : Eli!

She didn't listen to him at all and in anger King Joshua kicked a chair infront of him.

King Joshua : Maybe I am not the same...

Flashback ~

At that time Joshua and Eliana were just 17, both of them were bestfriends. At those times, fairies were seen everywhere.

Joshua: Eli! Have you seen Lia?

Eliana : The fairy?

Joshua : Yeah...

Eliana : No I haven't.

Suddenly a fairy flew across his face.

Lia : Boo!

Joshua : Aaaaaaaaah

He fell backwards.

Lia : Hahaha! You fell Josh!

Joshua : That's not funny Lia.

Lia : It is.

Joshua : Where were you?

Lia : I was at the rose garden! I love roses, you know.

Joshua : I was worried about you!

Lia : You are always worried about me.

Eliana : Because he is your friend! He would always be worried for you.

Suddenly someone appeared there.

??? : Seems like someone is enjoying too much.

Eliana : Oh! Theo...how are you, here to spoil moods?

He rolled his eyes.

Theodore : Don't you think these fairies belongs to us. Our kingdom?

Joshua : No they don't and first of all,they aren't things that are meant to be owned!

Theodore : Won't you admit Josh that your kingdom stole our fairies.

Joshua : Not until I die Theo!

He grabbed his collar.

Eliana : Stop it! Both of you! You are princes not some kind of scum! Behave well Theo. You too Joshua!

Theodore : Well Josh, did knew your new girlfriend was this arrogant. Wait until you see me have those fairies and the girl who you stole.

He arrogantly left that place.

Joshua : Why be so mean?

Eliana : He is just jealous of you. Now don't worry and let's just play with Lia, shall we?

Flashback ends ~

Meanwhile at Gulian's side.

He was shocked to see the mark, the same moon birthmark on her collarbone. His mouth was wide opened. He couldn't believe his eyes and a wave of mixed emotions struck his heart.

Gulian : Rowena...the mark...

Rowena : Yeah, kind of been a secret.

Gulian : You lied to me?

He asked hurt.

Rowena : I can explain...

She pulled him inside the room.

Rowena : Gulian...I know I have hid something from you but I had a reason...

Gulian : Oh, may I know the reason.

He asked angrily.

Rowena : Because...

Gulian : Because?

Rowena : Because that's what I was taught to do.

Gulian : That's not even a reason Rowena!

Rowena : My mother made me do it! she thought that this would hurt me! she wanted me away from this cruel world, she wanted me to be safe...

Gulian : Do you think that I am a danger for you?!

Rowena : No..I don't know how to explain...I am.

Gulian : Are you even trying to explain me?

Rowena : So let me say that when mum discovered that mark, she almost isolated me in the castle. She tried to make me feel different from others and almost didn't let me play with other kids. She was overprotective and she made vow that I will never ever show this mark to anyone...I promised her and I am used to hide this thing that's why...

Gulian : Well, I kind of understood your situation but... it's not worth an explanation.

He sighed and left the room, slamming the door right at her face. Rowena knew this would happen and felt guilty for her action.
She just sat on her bed and dozed off.

Meanwhile at Hunter's side.

Hunter was roaming around the castle, discovering it's rooms with a maid. Suddenly he bumped into a girl wearing a cloak very hard that she almost tripped on the floor, before she could hit the ground. Hunter caught her by her waist.

Hunter : Are you okay?

He saw the girl's face and was shocked to see that it was none other than Hazel!

Hunter : Hazel...what are you doing here!?

Hazel : Hunter...what are you doing here?!

Hunter : I am the new worker of this palace.

Hazel : And I am the king's cousin sister...

Hunter : You are!

He made her stand up.

Hazel : Sabrina, excuse us for a while.

Sabrina (The maid) : Okay...your majesty.

She went away from that place.

Hunter : So you are the king's youngest cousin?

Hazel : Yeah... I am but why are you working here as a worker!?

Hunter : Because I am here to find my sister. I think she's here. My heart say it.

Hazel : Well, what if she's not here?

Hunter : She is here, my heart is never wrong.

Hazel : What if it is, this time?

Hunter : Then I will never trust it again.

Hazel : You are very practical.

Hunter : Hazel, the queen... what's her name?

She kind of panicked inside and said.

Hazel : Umm..her name is...her name is Jazmine.

Hunter : I didn't expect that...well want to have a stroll around the castle.

Hazel : I would love to but I have an important affair to deal with. See you later.

She ran away from that place.

Meanwhile on Rowena's side.

Heather was walking around the castle when she decided to meet Rowena. She knocked on the door and went inside.

Heather : Rowena...are you fine?

Rowena : No..I don't think I am.

Heather : What happened?

She told Heather all of the incidents.

Heather : That's a big problem.. Don't worry I will fix it.

She happily ran across her room to Gulian's mother's room. She knocked on the door.

Heather : Hey Gulian, it's me... Heather.

Gulian : Go away Heather..I don't want to talk to anyone.

Heather : Well if you are in a bad mood then a song will cheer you up.

Gulian : A song can't mend what is broken, whether if it's a vase or a heart.
