The Sizzling Brownie
Ravi, a middle-aged stout man with stern face and blood-red eyes, was about to light a cigarette when he was interrupted by a waiter-
“Uh…excuse me sir, smoking is strictly prohibited in the restaurant. We have strict instructions from the –”
“Yeah fine! Now go and get my brownie, I have been waiting for it for an hour. What’s taking it so long?”
“I am sorry sir; I will check whether your order is ready to be served.”
As Ravi waited for his sweet dish, he looked around the newly opened restaurant, “Maritime Delight” where he just had chicken biryani for his lunch and was now waiting for his sizzling brownie to arrive. Maritime Delight was a marine-themed restaurant with artistic showcases and pictures of marine creatures hanging across the four walls of the restaurant, the reception counter was all wood and made to resemble a boat. Ravi appreciated the ambiance and the biryani he had but was now annoyed by the delay in serving the sweet dish and, as he decided to leave the restaurant after a good deal of abuses to the receptionist, a young lean man in his twenties stood before him. The young man was about to greet Ravi when he got interrupted by the waiter-
“Here’s your brownie sir”, said the waiter as he placed the sizzling chocolate brownie on the table before Ravi.
“Hey! Good afternoon Mr…”, said the young man standing before the table of Ravi.
