Pretty Misunderstandings... Part 3🥂
.....towards her for a handshake.

“Don’t worry, you are safe now, by the way I’m Aashi.” It is when she tried to extend her right hand for the handshake, they realized, she was holding his left wrist all the while. Both of them remained quiet what it seemed for half a minute and then their eyes spoke the rest wherein laughter followed.

Splashhhhh!!!!

Sudden vigorous movement in the stagnant water got her back to the present. She was in the pool and a cute baby was learning to swim with her mother's help. Her mother apologetically gave her a smile which she responded very politely. But she was done, she wanted to be alone .
Coming out of the pool, she covered herself with the bath robe and strived for her room.
The silence of her room was very soothing at that point of time. Next she took her phone out and played the only playlist saved on Her Phone "It's You" and went for a bath.

After getting herself changed into pyjamas, she ordered a cup of black coffee and started reading the fashion magazine that was lying on the table.. Unconsciously she began to play with the pendent, she always wore on her neck, it was certainly a gift from him. It was enough to confirm, she still had feelings for him and her inability to move on even after all these years.
She remembered everything about him – how they became friends, joined the same tuitions, how they slowly became inseparable, how their togetherness made other people jealous which they hardly cared and when for the first time she realized she felt jealous of others around him and the moment she realized that she was head over heels for him...

Relishing the taste of her Expresso, she ended up standing in the balcony with the fresh air brushing against her cheeks. The essence of it took her back on a roller-coaster ride of memories once again...

They had clubs in their school; both of them got themselves registered in DS (Drama Society). She being a very poor actor preferred being off the stage. She was much better in other stuffs like being incharge of the stage decorations, music, lighting but mostly choreography, she was an awesome dancer. He, being the handsome he, got selected for the lead role for the Shakespearean drama, the all-time classic romance, Romeo and Juliet. The female lead for the drama was a junior and anybody could easily make out that she wasn’t that into the drama as she was into Rishab.
Rishab, being the dumb, had no idea of how the junior looked at him. More accurately, he never paid such attention to anyone; the only one person who mattered to him in the whole school was her – Aashi. Though Aashi knew Rishab wasn’t that kind of a guy, still she didn’t like him being close to the junior as she was fully aware of their junior’s intention.

It was one of the DS classes, when Aashi was teaching them their respective part of the decided choreography for the play, she noticed that the junior is desperately trying to get close to Rishab. Instantly she found herself grabbing the middle spot separated the two. She could sense the disappointment in the junior’s look but she felt a different kind of relief.

....to be Continued....

P.S. looks like Ashi was jealous... But does Rishav have same feelings? or He treated her as a Best Friend?
