Thank you Mom for telling me.
#WritcoStoryPrompt12
The old woman was near death. I could hear her try to draw in painful gasps of breath. I felt helpless as a doctor in this remote part of the world. Was there nothing I could do?
Was there nothing to change her mind for us to save her life? This was her wish and I can't disrespect that. Hi, I'm Shelly Main and that was a year ago. Ever since that day weird things happened like doors opening and closing but the widows were all closed and the lights will turn on and off even though they were new lights. We had to close down because it was scaring the patients and lost business because of that we all lost our jobs. I now work at a supermarket and it was my day off. I met my friends and we decieded to go to the hospital that was abandond. We went in and all lost sight off each other. I try looking for my old desk and I found it. It's full of dust. I then hear my name in the distance, I start heading towards the noise. It was the lady that died last year?!?! I rub my eyes to make sure it wasn't fake and it wasn't. She said that she is greatful that I listened to her wishes and told me that that she was my mom. She said proudly that she was proud of me. She also told me why she left me since birth and put me up for adoption. Apartly my farther was abusive and when she gave birth to me he said he would find me and then kill me. She couldn't take care of me so that she can distract him from me until he died years later. Ever since then she started looking for me but couldn't find me. She kept looking for me but couldn't find me no matter how many times she tries. SHELLY! SHELLY! SHELLY! I snapped out of it and instead of my mom infront of me it was my friends. I told them that we should go since they might start asking why I was standing there and staring. I went home knowing that the lady that wanted to die was my mother, why she left me, who was my dad, how was my dad like, how my mother looked like and many more questions that I wanted answered got answered in the end. At my front door was an illusion of a lady that I saw crying and apparently she was my mom again. Seeing her cry made me to start crying knowing that I'll never let my future children or any of my grandchildren go through the trauma I went through in my life.
Now I'll always know why you left me. Thank you mom for telling me. This family name will know this story and what you went through.
