Chapter 4 ♥️♥️

Aria cowered behind Akash, who was not only shifted into a wolf she was riding on but something frightening.

Aria: "Akaaash ........"

The rouge wolf lurched forward and she fell back to the ground. as Akash pounced at him, snarling.

Unknown Wolf: "Gaaaaaaah ..........."

The two wolfs went at it, swiping their claws and bearing deadly fangs.

Aria: "What am I supposed to do? if I couldn't shit, I could help Akash"

She sat when she heard one of them make a loud yelp and she prayed that wasn't Akash.

Aria: "Please, Moon Goddess, protect us"

The rogue wolf knocked Akash down and snarled over him.

Aria: "I've got to help my mate"

She stood on wobbling legs whistled to catch the rouge wolf's attention Neither of them could hear her over the grunts and snarling. She picked up a large stone and threw it, hitting the rouge wolf in the head.

Unknown Wolf: "Gaaaaaaaah"

Before she could react, the rogue wolf pushed her to the ground, his claws digging deep into her arms.

Aria: "Ahhhhhhh help me"

He was not on her long as Akash came up behind him and wrapped his arms around its neck.

Akash: "Arrrrrrrrg"

She heard bones snapping, and the wolf yelped before taking one last breath. His body fell beside her as she tried to catch her breath.

Akash: "Aria, are you alright?"

Akash scooped her inside his arms, cradling her against his chest.

Akash: "You shouldn't put yourself in harm's way, I had it under control"

Aria: It didn't look like you had it under control. He was going to kill you"

She felt sick when she looked down at the deceased wolf.

Akash: "I've got to get us out of here before others come to attack"

Just as Akash lifted her into his arms, Lennix and Cedrick came running through the trees.

Cedrick: "What happened? Akash, are you and the lady alright?"

Akash: "Aria is hurt. I need tk get her home"

Lennix: "Why the hell do you have her out here, brother?"

Cedrick: "Lennix, stand down! Brother or not, you don't speak to your Alpha that way"

Aria: "I'll be ok"

Akash cringed to her, tugging her tight against his rock hard body.

Aria: " I thought he was going to kill you, Akash. I was so scared"

Cedrick and Lennix inspected the rogue wolf lying there dead.

Lennix: "We don't know who this is?"

Cedrick: "Not a clue, and he hasn't shifted back to his human form yet"

Lennix: "We should burn this one as a sign to other rouges to keep away"

Aria: "I want to go home. Get me out of here"

Akash: " Can you take care of it? I've got to get Aria home"

Lennix. "She shouldn't have been out here in the first place, Akash"

Akash ignored Lennix and carried her off towards her house.

Aria: "I don't want you to leave me Akash. I'm going to have nightmares after what happened"

Akash: "Do you want me to stay with you tonight?"

She winced as she glared down at her bleeding arm.

Aria: "I don't want my mother to see what happened. Take me to your place please"

Akash: "As you wish, my queen"

Akash took her staring to his bedroom to clean and bandage her arm. His touch was gentle for such a powerful man.

Aria:" I called Cherise and told her that you're with me tonight. She made me promise to have you at work on time tomorrow morning"

Aria:" Oh God ....... I can imagine what she's thinking"

Akash: "What is it you think she would be thinking?"

Aria. "She seems excited for us to be together and always checks for the mark"

Akash's eyes gazed deeply into her eyes.

Akash: "Shall I mark you tonight?"

She swallowed a bundle of nerves that lodged into her throat.

Aria: "I'm not ready yet"

Akash: "Why don't you lie down"?

Akash pulled the plush blankets aside, and his bed looked inviting despite being nervous around him.

Aria: "Will you stay here with me?"

Akash:" Here inside this bed ......... next to you ......... where our bodies can touch for hours?"

She gulped as Akash climbed beside her, a salacious smirk plastered on his mouth.

Aria: "Something like that"

Akash: "I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be. is your arm ok now that I've patched you up"

Aria: "Yeah"

Akash sweetly kissed her forehead.

Akash: "I'm sorry I put you in harm. I've let you down"

Aria: "I was scared, but I knew you'd have it under control"

Akash: "I know you were trying to protect me, but please never go up against a rogue again, especially unarmed. You could've been killed"

Aria: "I had to get him away from you. I knew you'd protect me"

Akash: "I know, but I'll make it all ok. You are so damn beautiful Aria"

He came in for a tantalizing kiss as she ran fingers through his air.

Akash: "I can smell your need for me, my mate. Let me at least love you"

Aria: He's turning me on so badly. I could give in and let him some love, but I'm very tired"

Akash: "I can understand. I can tell you're exhausted"

Akash climbed off her and holed her in his arms.

Akash: "You're worth the wait, my mate"

He kissed her shoulder as she drifted in and out of sleep.

Aria: I like being here alone with you. I feel super safe"

Akash: "You are safe, and I feel better having you here with me. Perhaps you should move in"

Aria: You want me to move in already?"

Akash: "We're mates, and There's a killer on the loose. It would make me feel better to have you nearby. You don't have to decide now but think about it"

A deep need for him swirled inside her stomach, and she clenched her legs, stopping that need in it's tracks.

Aria: "I need to calm down"

She drifted off to sleep, wondering what it would be like to live here and have Akash any time she pleased.

As promised, Akash brought her straight to work, and she quickly changed into her uniform while her mother tripped into him. She immediately noticed her bandaged arm and was upset that she came so close to a rogue wolf.

Aria: "Mom was always good at putting her foot down, but she should back off Akash"

Cherise: "Mate or not ....... Alpha or not ........ you will not take my daughter into the woods again. Do you understand Akash?"

Aria melted when she saw his sorry face as her mother scolded him.

Akash: "I understand, Cherise, I apologize"

Aria: "But still, my heart! If that's not the sexiest face I've ever seen on him"

Aria: "Mom, we get it ok? I won't return to the woods until they're sure theh caught the killer. Please stop yelling at Akash. He's your Alpha, for crying out loud"

Cherise: "And I'm your mother. I loved you first"

Her mother's words stopped her in her tracks because the thought of Akash being in love with her was unfathomable.

Cherise: "Who was the wolf that attacked last night"

Akash: "He wasn't identifiable"

Akash: "It's doubtful. If he were the killer, he'd still have Brisket's scent on him".

Aria's stomach turned at the thought of poor Brisket.

Akash: "I've got to head to work. I'll see you later, Aria"

Akash kissed her softly, but it still took her breath away and left her with a goofy smile.

Aria: "I still can't believe I'm lucky enough to be his mate. Bye Akash"

Her mother left shortly after Akash, but it didn't take long for her friends to come in for a coffee.

Eden: "Aria, congratulations! you're the talk of the town"

Jolie: "Congrats"

Eden embraced her as Jolie stood back, jelousely blaring in her eyes.

Aria: "Thanks guys. It's been a whirlwind"

Eden: "I'm sure it has. Tell is everything. Did he mark you?"

Jolie: "I'd rather you spare the details"

Eden: "Jolie, that's no way to speak to your Lunar"

Aria: He didn't mark me yet"

Jolie: "It should've been me. Not you Aria. I'd already be carrying his pups"

Aria: "That's uncalled for"

Jolie: "You can't even shift into your wolf, I'm expected to bow down to you? Excuse me?"

Aria: "Oh my god. Jolie, I'm still the same exact person. I don't expect you to bow down to me. Jolie is obviously upset, but that's no way to speak to anyone within the pack"

Jolie: "It should've been me. I should have Akash in my sheets, not you. You're way too weak for a Lunar, even now when you can't defend yourself. Pitiful"

Eden: "I had no idea you harbored so much animosity towards Aria. You should go, Jolie"

Jolie: You're right. I should go before my wolf comes out and destroys her"

Jolie was out of line that Aria felt rage slicing through her. It hurts every born in her body.

Aria: "Get out. And don't show your face here ever again"

Aria panted, trying to ease the pain as Jolie stormed out of the cafe'.

Eden: "Aria, are alright? Should I call your mom?"

Aria: "No, I'm fine, don't tell anyone about Jolie acting out like that. They could kill her for that outburst"

Eden: "Only a true would worry about someone who just bitched them out. I'm shocked that she was acting this way. She knows better"

Aria and Eden talked until her mother came back, and as the day rolled on, Aria couldn't but help think about what jolie said. Her day at the cafe' went fast, but she felt drained. On top of that, she missed Akash. Luckily he was on his way over to spend some time with her tonight.

Aria: "I can't already be falling for him can I? He's easy to love, but the mating bond just set in. I thought he was going to treat me horribly, but I was so wrong about him"

She sighed as she looked in the mirror and saw the sad girl staring back at her.

Aria: "Can he truly love me though? Maybe Jolie's right. I am pathetic to think I can be Cresent Creek's Lunar"

A firm knock at the door startled her.

Aria: "Mom?"

Akash: "It's me"

Akash stepped inside, looking as sexy as ever.

Aria: "You're early"

Akash: "I canme straight over after work"

Akash brushed her hair behind her ear as he stared into her eyes.

Akash: "You're upset"

Aria: "I'm ok"

She plastered on a fake smile, not wanting to tell Akash about Jolie.

Akash: "You're not. I don't need to mark you to know your feelings. Tell me what happened"

Aria: "I'm just tired. Last night was horrifying, and I can't get that attack kut of my mind"

Akash: Nothing or not one will hurt you"

Aria: "I wasn't prepared to be the pack's Lunar. I feel like I need a class on how to present myself"

Akash: "There are no classes. Your knowledge will come you in time"

Aria: "I'm trying to be open about this, but I've surely got shoes to fill. Your mother was a great Lunar"

Akash: "My mother would be proud of you Aria"

Aria: "Why are You so sweet to me?"

Akash: "Because you're my mate, and as my other half, I can find you wrong in you. You aren't just my other half, and all of Crecent Creek will know it"

Aria: "Ohh my heart"
