Social isolation had forced an eerie silence upon them. While fear haunted their existence, one question was at the forefront.
When was this going to end?

Citron sighed and lay on his bed. He's done cleaning his house, doing the dishes, almost all of the household chores he can do. He finished them all.

With nothing to do, he grabbed his phone and checked if he received emails or messages from anyone. He smiled bitterly and covered his eyes with his arms. No one did. He expected that his parents will be worried sick about him or atleast a couple of friends will check up on him.

He sighed and sat on the bed. He took off his clothes and walked towards the shower room. He stayed there and let the cold water run through his body. He closed his eyes and let his thoughts drown him.

"No one cares about you."

"They ditched you."

"They don't remember you."

"You're worthless."

"Nobody loves you."

He faced upward so that the water will run through his face. So that he won't feel the tears flowing down from his eyes.

"Hello? Anybody here?"

He turned off the shower and listened. He's not sure if he should go out or not. He just observed.

"Umm, maybe he's in the shower. If you're in here, I just want to let you know that we cooked some pasta today and turns out we cooked too much. We thought that maybe we should give this to you. I'll just put this here on your umm, coffee table? I guess? Okay. Bye!"

He waited until he heard the door shut. He quickly finished his bath and went outside to see what his neighbor bring.

"Tuna pasta..."

He smiled and gobbled them up. Negative thoughts quickly fade away and his smile is as genuine as the day.

It's been two months since he got stuck in the city. He missed his family and friends who are already in their provinces. He missed everyone outside his little apartment. But he need to endure it so that it'll end as soon as possible. So that he can help prevent the virus from spreading.

After eating, he quickly grabbed his phone, dialed his mother's number and called them all day. Sometimes, you need to make the first move.

Few minutes later, he received a message from his friend who just woke up because he played all night. He chuckled and gave him a great sermon.

The day ended with a smile on his face. It is real that quarantine or isolation can make you feel worthless and unloved, but you need to be strong and save yourself. Because what if no one's there for you? Who will save you if not yourself?
