The cry was faint but I heard it loud and clear as I walked past the dark bushes. My steps faltered. It was late, and I was not sure if it was a smart move to investigate further. Goosebumps prickled my skin, and a chill ran down my spine as the cry echoed through the night air. Against my better judgment, curiosity got the better of me, and I followed the sound.
The path ahead was dimly lit, with shadows dancing eerily across the ground.
The darkness seemed to thicken with every step I took, as if something sinister was lurking just out of sight. A feeling of dread weighed heavily upon me, but I pressed on, unable to resist the pull of the cry.
As I ventured deeper into the darkness, the cry grew louder, now filled with a desperate plea for help.
My heart pounded in my chest, and a knot formed in my stomach. I could feel the presence of something sinister, something malicious that had summoned me into its trap.
The cry led me to an abandoned house, its broken windows...
