life is life part II
Life is a spoiled brat.
You used to have a wife and kids, yet you still feel incomplete. You've built a grand, enduring house, but not a home. You've pursued your passions and realized you've never truly fallen in love. You've lived one thousand weeks with a happy life and realize you never actually have one.

Life is a sad movie.
One morning you woke up to the noise of your kids, and the next day it's the relentless clamor of an alarm clock that never learned to speak. As you wandered into the kitchen, you found yourself wondering about the purpose of those chairs. And while you dressed, an old portrait hanging on the wall with familiar faces made you suddenly miss it.

Life is a disease.
The world is unjust as you navigate your own twisted footsteps. Your own shadow became the sole friend in your day. You're left preparing meals for yourself because your grown children and their mother now live in isolation. And you ponder what happened to both of you. It hurts because you forgot the details of your marriage vows. It stings to miss her smile and the familiarity of connection.

Life is not happiness.
Happiness lies in following your burning passions. Happiness is found in moving forward while embracing the solitary past. Happiness is about releasing words from our hearts that have remained unspoken for years. Happiness is entwined with the life you've chosen, unplanned as it may be, and the aftermath of unforeseen circumstances. And happiness isn't life.

Life is an upside-down world.
Hope revolves around the present you. Yet sometimes exchanging inexpensive sweet words for days is called love, while decades of changing tides and keeping in touch with chosen ones are not.

Life is an endless journey.
At twenty-four, you still don't understand everything. But then you go to the internet, install Writco, connect with strangers, write so much about what's happening, about what happened that stuck in your mind and brought trauma, about the things that only happened in your mind, and finally learn that it's true—life is life.
