ADORNING SPIRIT!
*“By His Spirit He adorned the heavens” (Job 26:13).*
*God adorned the heavens. He adorned the day with the sun and the night with the moon. He not only makes the evening time beautiful with a blue colour but also makes the clouds to float like awesome cotton. Look up and see how God has adorned.*
*“Lift your eyes on high and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing” (Isaiah 40:26). “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite” (Psalm 147:4, 5).*
*Did the Holy Spirit adorn heaven alone? No. He has also adorned you. The Scripture says, “He will beautify the humble with salvation” (Psalm 149:4). He adorns you by crowning you with good things and grace. He adorns you with holiness. He wants you to worship Him in the beauty of holiness.*
*Dear children of God, think about your adornment. The cine actresses put on a magnificent look with outward beautifications. But what a man requires is inner adornment. What you need is spiritual adornment.*
*Paul the Apostle writes, “Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands” (I Peter 3:3-5).*
*Will you love God with the spiritual adornment which alone He expects? Let Jesus Christ who is the bridegroom, rejoice at your adornment. Isaiah who had been filled with spiritual adornment happily says, “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels” (Isaiah 61:10).*
*Dear children of God, rejoice over the adornment which the Holy Spirit has made in you.*
