Ryan was contacted by Margaret just over 6 years ago when she learned he was a lawyer. She asked for his help, stating she wanted to get rid of her daughter-in-law, that she loved him, missed him, but did not know how to reach him. Ryan knew that the only reason Margaret reached out to him was that he is a lawyer and a partner at a big law firm, expecting she would not have to pay a penny as they were family.
