Walking Demon
Part:6

“What’s the matter doctor? Why you called me so instantly? How’s it going? Will she wake up?” She bombarded the doctor with questions as soon as she arrived.

“Woaw miss, take a breath. She is fine. Actually we thought she will unable to wakeup but I guess your friend have no plans to leave you right now. “
As soon as doctor stopped talking , Janell eyes turned to rivulet. She took doctor’s hand in her own ,squeezing it with merriment and thanked him thousand of times .

On the other hand doctor was flabbergasted with the sudden gratified gesture of the girl standing in front of him and squealing with happiness.

He continued what he left between his talk, “But__“ giving a pause to what he was going to say, afraid to see the smile will fade away from the exhilarated girl in front of him.

Janell smile faltered as soon as she saw doctor showing a hard serious expression.

“But what doctor.” She asked out of worry.

“Don’t be dishearten, It’s just a temporary disability. Actually we saw her blinking sluggishly early in the morning. She will overcome this soon. She is still unstable to move any of her body parts but the small movement of her eyelids shows she will not be in ‘Permanent Vegetative State’. It’s temporary.”

“Oh thank goodness, I thought there is another bad news. Like she won’t wake up, no , no, no…, I won’t even think about that.” Saying she shrugged the negative thoughts away.

She asked doctor when can she see her and the doctor allowed her to meet Bianca after 1 hour as it was her meal and medication time. She was being fed up with pipes running through her nose to her stomach which was enough to break each and every corner of Janell’s heart.

She gathered a strength to not stumble to the ground and left the waiting area. She came out to inhale some fresh air. The wind was soothing her soft skin, brushing her cheeks which had a glisten of dried tears. She closed her eyes ,sat on the bench under a tree which was showing a clear portray of autumn arrival.

She looked from the corner of her eye an old man feeding ducks in lake. Ducks were running , swimming, diving in water to shove pieces of bread to their bills. For a speck of moment, she thought, where was she when she was a child, poor family, mother’s and father’s daily disputes, non loving relatives…and where is she now. She always was immersed in past when ever she sat alone, surrounded by nature.
She gulped down the bile that rose to her throat. Than she remembered she had a card of the person who helped them yesterday. She fish out the card from her sling bag. It shows statement 'Sports Makes You Strong'. There were two numbers engraved on the lower right corner with golden print, bulging outside as if the number is floating. One of manager and the other of CEO. So she dialed manager’s number as she predicted the guy from earlier to not be a CEO of a company. The call initiated.
“Hello, Mr. Franklin speaking. Who is this.”
“Ahh__ ”she stuttered, “I am Janell. Remember , yesterday you helped us.”
“Sorry Ma’am, but I haven’t even heard the name ‘Janell' in my entire ancestors line.”He was quit a funny man. He thought it’s some kind of scam call.
“Oh, Sir, sorry for inconvenience, but do you know a man name Lucif?”
“How do you know him? He is the CEO of our company.”
Her mouth went agape after hearing that. She didn’t believed the fact , that a normal and ordinary guy who appeared out of no where to be a CEO of such a large and well-known company of Toronto.
“Can I meat him?”She asked, probably assuming positive answer to hear. “Tell him my name Janell, he perhaps remembers me.”
“Ok ma’am, I sure will. “Saying that, he hung the call.
