Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.
AT FOUR
I was only four when my Dad, introduces the woman he married. The woman who is not my mom. I did not understand first, but I knew from then on, I will not be seeing my dad anymore. My mom was devastated, she was mad. However, I remained calm and not bothered by it even when I was already old enough to understand. Maybe, I just didn't really care. My mom pitied me because, I was someone who didn't grew up from a perfect and complete family. Many believed, that it was one of my darkness days in my entire life. What they didn't know, is that for me, it was actually the light. It was like a hope, an escape from having expectations from my father. I grew up independently, along with my affectionate mom who never gives up on me. I grew up strong and complete, even if my so called Dad is not around. I do admit, I'm thankful for him. It might sound hypocritical, but it's the truth. Why? Because I would have never grew up the way I am now if he stayed.
