As the autumn leaves fall to the ground and the river rushes through the riverbed, she gazes into his hazel eyes and says: "I love you." His cheeks flush into a bright red and he quickly covers his face to hide his embarrassment. He then slowly starts to stutter his reply:"...I...I love..you too..." She giggles as she peeks over and sees the tip of his ears turning beet red. She jumps over to him as she carries a big smile and confidently says: "I know" She gently grabs his hands and slowly takes them away from his face, so she can watch him get all flustered over her. He tries to struggle as he is unwilling to show such an embarrassing face to her, but all strength leaves him as he sees her adorable face. She successfully uncovers his face and shoves her face up to his. That bold move startles him and he quickly takes a step back to get some distance between them. He winces as it is hard to breathe when she is near, as he has never seen such a beautiful person exist. And to think that exactly that person chose him! Everyday feels like a dream to him, from which he wishes to never wake from. She chuckles and takes a step forward each time he takes another one back. Suddenly he bumps into something. He looks back to see what it was and sees it was an old maple tree. He swiftly looks back at her and "Woah!" he gasps out. For there she is. Right infron of his face and staring right into his eyes. Staring at him with her eyes filled with love that is only for him. She gently smiles at him as she inches closer to him. His breathing getting heavier and heavier, scared that she'll hear how loud his heart is beating. He anxiously looks around to escape from her gaze. She then gently places her warm hand on his cold cheek and caresses his face. Not once does she look away from him. Her intense gaze slowly goes from his eyes to his quivering lips. Seeing what she is about to do he gets even more so nervous. Seeing how nervous he is, she softly chuckles and and closes her eyes as she presses her rosy lips against his. The second their lips touch, he holds his breath and his body stiffens. He shuts his eyes to take a mental picture of the moment as to never forget, as if in disbelief of what is happening right now. She then opens her eyes and slowly backs up with her hand still placed on his now warm cheek. She sees how tense he is and starts laughing lovingly: "You can breathe now." He swiftly opens his eyes again and gasps out for air. He looks away and mumbles under his breath: "I..I knew that." She giggles and grabs his hand and starts running. He silently follows her and just watches her as she runs off with his hand in hers. A gentle autumn breeze pushes itself through the trees and through her beautiful golden hair hitting the sun. Seeing her hair sparkle so wonderfully he just thinks to himself: "Ah...so beautiful." Knowing he is the luckiest man alive to have ever met her and being allowed to stay by her side. He lovingly smiles and runs off with her into the forests horizon with not a care in the world. For as long as she is by his side and for as long as he is by her side, they know they will forever be happy. For happiness does not come through things, but through people that you love and treasure. And with that knowledge they are willing to face anything, so long they stay together.
