He was teasing her, always did. But truth be told, Dino could do serious talk. He just found it difficult to confide in someone else, probably because he had no real friends growing up. Or maybe no one had really cared about him before.

It was simple for people to say that Dino was a bad boy with just one look at him but until they experienced the life he lived, they did not know a damn thing about him. Eyes judge but the heart doesn't and Meera could tell that Dino was not a 'bad boy'. Bad things had happened to him to make him earn that reputation and status.

Yeah sure, she had also being one of those judgmental people. But she would openly admit that she misjudged him and would gladly take back all of her original thoughts about him. Dino was a nice guy. Bad boy image and all, he still possessed a heart somewhere that he tried so hard to hide.

Which was the reason why, according to Meera, there had to be an explanation for killing someone's brother. Something must have definitely triggered Dino to do the extreme. She had experienced him being murderously angry. It wasn't pretty but he wasn't going to kill anyone that night. He'd hurt them but murder had not been on his list.

Meera bit her lip as she looked up at Dino. He rolled his eyes. "What now princess?"

"How did Caleb and you meet...if you were in Johannesburg and him in Durban?"

It took him a while to answer. "Pretty snoopy, aren't you?" he said before answering. "Caleb and I met five years back. He and Randal had come up for some business crap...I was on the run. I loaned some cash from these sharks and stole from them too," he added, much softer.

"But they weren't the only people I was running from. Had some demons catching up to me. Anyway, I messed up-bad. They found me, like all of them found me."

"But you can fight," Meera blurted out. Dino chuckled. "It was one against an entire army plus I had stab wounds. It was a brutal fight and honestly, I didn't wanna fight back. Hell, I was gonna die."

But he didn't.
