THE SHROUD ( CHAPTER EIGHT)
PANDORA'S BOX
Cynthia's P.O.V
Teju deserved his death a thousand times. He was the only man I knew, he promised to move mountains for me, promised to marry me after our sexual encounters.
He jilted me on day my mother died of diabetes, a day before WAEC examination based on the grounds of I'm overbearing and boring.
I wept bitterly for months, He came back again and told me tales of how regretted his decision and pleaded for my forgiveness.
We reconciled after my Valedictory service. I broke up with him after I found out that he is engaged to Rita. He blocked me on all social media platforms.
From that day, i made up my mind to pay him back in his own coin. I was so excited that I got the golden opportunity to get even with him by availing myself as his side chick till the day i carried out my anticipated revenge.
I dragged Tomiwa into this and she was pleased with my revenge plan. Her family carries a deep seated grudge against Teju's family as a result of condescending remarks, false accusations and threats of Teju's parents against her parents in their workplace.
Tomiwa's P.O.V
Teju reaped the whirlwind of his parents' atrocities. Mr and Mrs Abiola were known for their emotional abuse of their workers and work colleagues. My parents almost got assassinated by the assasins sent by them.
Their family deserved worse !!!. I remembered the nights we couldn't sleep due to the life threatening threats we received by mails, Sms, calls from private numbers.
They falsely accused my parents and delayed their promotion for years plunging my family into misery and poverty.
I was elated when Cynthia told me of her revenge plan, even though I never wanted him dead as I cautioned Cynthia but she refused to listen to my warnings, but i made sure i gave her the support and care she needed. Teju is a demon like his parents. An obsessed freak!!!
