I miss the roads to my home, my village. A small village with clean roads almost, good number of trees but no river or pond. A small lake is there. Two schools. There are some grocery stores. Three sweet shops. But Tinku dada's (brother) sweet shop is famous in my village. One can also have the taste of singara (samosa or dumpling), porota, roti and vegetables for dinner. I used to go mainly for sweet curd. As far as I know only in in West Bengal, India you can have sweet curd. Well, Bengal is famous for various sweet dishes. In other parts of India the usual curd. There is a railway station, an old Shiva temple, a newly constructed big temple and a mosque. The station has an important signification as it connects the North Eastern part of India with the rest of India. A market . In Tuesday and Saturday a special type of market is organised. In this day sellera from near villages come that day only to sell their products. Their investment is marginal. I remember those Tuesdays and Saturdays. These days meant a big fish in today's menu.
