Love, Divorce and Everything else
Chapter 12: The Decision
Ryan couldn't contain his excitement when he realized, after a very long time since his parents had passed away, that he had fallen in love and that someone appreciates him and likes him back. Suddenly, he had a big smile on his face. His aunt, upon noticing the smile and the look on his face, knew that something was up. She went to Ryan and started staring at him in anger, and said, 'Hmm, what are you so happy about?' That is when Ryan realized that Jack and Margaret were still there and said nothing, 'Aunt Margaret.'
Margret: Your cousin, your brother, your blood is suffering and you're standing in a corner and smiling? Don't you dare betray us. I am telling you, or else I will make you regret being born. I am giving you just 1 more month to get me the proof I want, or else I will go to her myself and tell her everything. It does not matter if that little devil is my son or not; I will make her life miserable. Ryan: Okay, Aunt Margret. After that, Margret and Jake left in the middle of the night back to their town, leaving behind Ryan in a big empty house and a big empty mind. He could not bear the thought of hurting Myra in any manner or the innocent child.
He could not sleep all night and got a bottle of whisky and started drinking and thinking what he should do. He should have never agreed to this in the first place. evil or saint, he had no business playing games with any woman, as he did no harm to them. He finally thought he would meet Myra. Before she says anything or finds out from someone else who he is, he should tell her the truth and warn her about his aunt's plan. After all, family is not a good enough reason to hurt an innocent woman. Ryan then suddenly got up from the sofa, went towards the kitchen sink, threw away the rest of the whisky, went to his study room, opened his laptop, and started searching for someone's details online. He then had a big smile on his face when he found what he was looking for.
Ryan then made a few phone calls and was satisfied with what he had in mind. Finally, he went to bed. The next day, he couldn't wait to contact Myra and sent her a text expressing his wish to see her. Myra, who was equally eager to see Ryan and share her secret, responded instantly and said she wanted to see him too; she was about to text or call him. She then told him she was free on Saturday evening and would love to meet him at the restaurant where they first met.
Upon reading this, Ryan got a bit worried as he knew something was up. He was certain that Myra was going to tell him about the child, and he did not want her to.
Ryan got nervous and did not respond back to Myra's text. He could not think what to say, whether he should agree, and whether to tell Myra everything before she reveals anything to him. After thinking for a few minutes, he agreed but under one condition. She needs to agree to meet him early in the evening at his place as he needs to share something very important with her. Myra agreed and said, 'Perfect. I need to share something very important with you too.'
They agreed to meet each other on Saturday at 4:00 PM at Ryan's place. At this point, both of them were nervous and scared about how the other person would react to what they had to say. Ryan, on the other hand, was even more nervous as he knew Myra's secret already, and he had his own secret that was going to tear her apart.
