Early childhood. Mohammad Habib, radio, Mohan Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan. Names are floating in my mind. It's ABP News daily which keeps me updated every moment.
Being a Bengali and an avid lover of football I must admit a few more name Pushpen Sarkar if I am not wrong who made running commentary live for a kid who loved to play and watch football. To him Mohan Bagan was everything and Kolkata football league was like a battlefield of Mohan Bagan. At times Mohammad Habib was in favour and at times against. But the respect on his gameplay never went down due to opponent. He and his brother Mohammad Akbar was a terror at that time. The day he joined Mohan Bagan, I felt happy. Even in Mohammedan Vs East Bengal during his last period in Kolkata football league I used to support Mohammedan psychologically as I was against East Bengal during my childhood days.
Now, at this juncture I rarely watch or find any reason to play football except watching my son to play. My deeper respect to a fighter and one of the legendary football player and coach who took Tata Football Academy to a different level. No clue if TFA is still alive and active or not.
May Allah keep him where he should be and his soul rest in peace. My tribute to a wonderful person and a player. And condolences to all his family members and fans.
