THE CURSED STRAIGHTENER
CHAPTER - 1 : My Beautiful hair
I always wanted a straightener to straight my naturally curly hair, unluckily I got one, but the cursed one, which turned my hair very ugly and worse.
I am Sandy Smith, I am sixteen years old, in eleventh grade, in Rose Mary school. My all friends always tease me because of my hair, they are very much curly.
They say that my hair is a nest and someday some birds might give eggs in it not knowing that it is hair. I did't like their teasing, although one should not say something to someone on their physical appearance.
All my friends had straight hair, some of them had wavy hairs, some of them had curly hair but not as mine. Sometimes I blamed myself for not taking care of my ow hair, but then I thought that my hair is not my mistake, they are curly naturally.
Although my Mom liked my hair very much, she always made my hairstyles, cut my hair, she said that she wanted such hair when she was at my age.
But I didn't pay attention to her sayings and thought many ways to change my hair. One day, one of my friends ( other than the teasing girls ) Bell told me about straightener, she said, "I know you don't like to be get teased by that girls, and you don't like compliments on your hair, well there's a way by which you can change your hair".
Sandy : Well, what is that, tell me.
Bell : It's called a straightener, maybe you have heard of that",
Sandy : Yeah! I have heard about that, I have seen it in advertisements on television.
Bell : maybe you should give it a try.
Sandy : Sure...hmm...actually I have some work, gotta go, Bye!
Bell : Bye, have a nice straightener, of a good quality.
I smiled her back and picked up my school bag and walked to home.
I thought that once I will have that straightener then I will make my hair more beautiful my straightening them, today I will ask Mom to bring a straightener for me.
I walked fast in order to reach home, then called mom, usually mom and dad, they have opened their own clinic recently, because they were tired at working in big hospitals that were far away from each other, so they decided to work together.
Mom picked up the phone, I said,
Sandy : Hi mom, I wanted to ask you for something.
Mom : Hi dear, I will call you later, I am a little busy now.
Sandy : But mom, it's really important.
But the call was ended.
Then I decided that I will buy it myself, infact tomorrow is Sunday, and I am totally free, I will finish my homework today itself. Then I watched TV for sometime and then my parents came.
After they were relaxed, I told mom that I want a straightener,
Mom : Was that the reason behind your call.
Sandy : Yes!
Mom : But your hair is so nice dear, learn to accept what you have and appreciate it.
And now I wish that I Should have listened to My Mom but instead I said,
Sandy : But Mom, I want it, Please...
Mom : Fine, if you are insisting so much then I will buy you one, but dear I am not free tomorrow, your father and I have to go to a dentist committee of fund.
Sandy : No worry, Mom, actually I have decided to bring it as my wish, I will go with Bell, but you will have to give money to me
Mom : Ok, I will give it to you, but keep it with care.
Sandy : Sure Mom.
The Mom handed over the money to me, I kept it under my pillow and went to sleep.

The next day, I was so excited to buy that straightener, my mom and dad were about to leave, I said them bye and hurriedly called my friend Bell to hang out with her, she came at my place and we left to the market.
We went at the beauty center and there was shop of every kind of beauty that is for face, for nails, etc, and finally we found the shop of hair beauty, we quickly got there and looked around but I couldn't see the straightener anywhere.
Bell said me that she want to roam around so you buy the straightener till she goes around, I agreed. But as I couldn't find that thing, I asked the shopkeeper,
Sandy : Do you have straightener
Shopkeeper : Sorry mam, actually the stock is out now.
I became very sad, because firstly I had so many hopes and secondly there was only one shop of hair beauty in the whole town, as I was about to leave that shop, my sight fell on a black rod like thing which was kept in a corner of that shop, it appeared like a straightener, actually it was that.
I wondered why the shopkeeper is telling my lies. I said to him,
Sandy : Hey! why are you lying to me, there's a straightener over there ( I pointed my finger towards it).
Shopkeeper : Sorry mam, we can't give you that.
Sandy : But why, I will give you all the money.
Shopkeeper : It's not about the money mam, but we just don't want your beautiful hair to be ruined.
Sandy : Oh! come on, don't be my Mom, just give it to me, don't worry, I will take all the precautions.
Shopkeeper : Are you sure, mam.
Sandy : Of course.
Shopkeeper : Ok, but just remember that we are giving this to you because you are forcing us and you are taking it at your own risk.
I agreed and made the payment, I looked at it, it was a large black rod as a curler and beside it to straightening rods were there, the buttons were very large, but at the end of it something was written, "Don't dare to touch Elsa's straightener", I wondered, this will not be the company's name, how could it be, although there was no other mark on it".
Then I thought it's not any serious matter, I have got what I wanted and tomorrow will be the best day of my life. But if I did knew that buying that straightener would be the biggest mistakes of my life then I would have never bought it, but who knows what is going to happen in future.
