Forgotten Friendship
In the depths of my mind, a friendship lay,
But time has erased it, like pages decay.
A bond once unbreakable, forged with fire,
Now crumbled to ashes, like dreams that expire.

The laughter we shared, echoes in the past,
A distant memory, fading too fast.
Childhood games, innocence pure and bright,
Now lost in the darkness of endless night.

Oh, how I long for those carefree days,
When time was but a gentle, whispered phrase.
But life's currents carried us far apart,
Breaking the tether of our youthful heart.

And now I wander, a stranger to find,
The pieces of a friendship left behind.
Yet deep within, a flicker still remains,
A spark of hope, despite life's endless strains.

For in lost friendships, memories reside,
A testament to the love we once tried.
Though distance may separate us for now,
Our hearts forever intertwined, somehow.

And so, I'll embrace what time cannot take,
The memories of friendship, for their sake.
And if we should meet, in some distant place,
We'll find solace in the lines on each other's face.

For even faded memories can restore,
The echoes of childhood we once adore.
