Was there a point in your life that you wanted to stop, quit, and leave everything behind just to disappear to the point of changing and hiding your identity?
A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield.
He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy's country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them.
Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, "You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We now have no choice- we win, or we perish! And guess what, *They won.* Can such a burning disire really perish??
The desire to win removed the fear of loosing and they became unstopable
Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to *burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat.* Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a *BURNING DESIRE TO WIN* , essential to *success* . Once plan A and plan B starts getting in the picture, failure is already settling in
We all need to train our minds to get to that point where we no longer wish or hope for things, we force mother nature to give to us whatever it is that we ask of, by applying the principles that govern the lives of the ultra-successful.
The one big question that most if not all of us will not be able to give an accurate answer to, is,
What exactly do you want? What life do we want to build? What legacy do you really want to create?
Let me prove to you that most of us do not still know what we want
Most of us here are still student, a lot reading subjects in the university and many others doing stuffs in the medical field.
If we are to be very honest with ourselves, if we are to be asked that what exactly do you want to do with what you are studying right now, most of us won’t be able to answer
Most of us have *no purpose yet* , most of us haven’t found a *vision* on anything we want to pursue and here comes another question
How then do we want to develop a very strong *desire* towards something we do not even know yet?
There must be a *vision* before there is the *development* of a strong *desire* to bring that vision to a physical reality by all cost, no matter the odds.
The last and most triggering question this evening is, How do we find, get or develop a vision?
For those who already have a vision, how do you develop that burning desire that will cause you to burn all your bridges and come to that point that you make up your mind to either win or perish. Do you really think such a person will ever perish?
There is only one answer to these questions.
We start by knowing, and the only way to gain knowledge, is to engage in personal study, which has become one of the highest thing the young people of now(you and myself) have completely neglated and even consider useless and boring
