You can use the shortcut of run command from your pc to open excel. Press Windows+R and type excel in the box.

When we open excel a worksheet consisting of rows and columns gets opened. And by default, its name is Book 1.

At the bottom of the worksheet, you will see sheet 1, sheet 2 options. With the plus sign, more sheets can be inserted. By right-clicking at the sheet option you can change its name, tab colour, move or copy etc. This will help in easily identifying that what data we have captured in which sheet.

For navigation in excel use arrow keys- up, down, right and left.

Some shortcuts for navigation. These shortcuts will help you to navigate through the keyboard. It will increase your working speed as you can avoid using a mouse for navigation.
Tab: To shift to the cell on the right side
Control+ Right arrow key: To move to the last data-filled cell in the selected range
Control+ Home: To move to the first cell of the worksheet i.e. A1
Shift+Arrow keys: Helps in selecting data as you move forward like if you want to select B3 to B9
Control+Shift+Arrow keys: This will select the entire row and column.

The shift key will help in selecting the data one by one but control+shift will select the entire row or column in a single go.

At the top side of the worksheet, you will see a ribbon having many tabs such as Home, Inserts, Page layout. All these tabs will be further divided into groups. These options will help to record your data in a presentable manner.
