God allows a man to go through some tough challenges, be under a bad leader and oppressors so he can be glorified or for other purposes.
Looking at Joseph in the Bible, it is so that he will be able to get to where God has planned for him. So, God has to make him pass through those challenges so He can work on him to the extent that he continued to fear God and humbled himself till he got to the throne.
Looking at Moses in the Bible, God made him go to Jethro so he can be taught. And with that he can show him the way of God and make him do away with every belief and things he had learnt from egypt. To the end that he wanted to know more of God and was determined to see God face to face.
Looking at Paul in the Bible, God has to put him be under the mentorship of Ananias so he can be taught the ways of God.
So, when a man is going through some rough time and season. It is to his making and to the end that God will be glorified.
