Hollywood Strike & A Few Words
For the last few days hearing about strike in Hollywood by Writers and Actors Guild. Guild is doing this for the benefit of several skilled professionals. We all know and even while discussing with a CG (AI based) company I raised the same question for Bollywood. I accepted the AI based CG, rather chroma shots were working fine and with ease but this can create a harm to a lot of skilled professionals in India.
Now coming to the content creation business. A writer's thought can be shared and this can be translated through AI, but if a producer does the same what is going to be the impact for writers?
We know fees and copyright issues are there all over the world. There are other factors too. Even from a Producers point of view he is right sometimes. What if any project looses money? Are they going to share the losses with professionals? Any hope of loss makeup? Government never helps these companies, not they ask any favour from them because they are too big.
These AI based companies should have some ethics that which one is correct for them to survive in the film industry. Companies like Unreal Engine should apply their brain so that they can cater a lot of other sectors viz. architecture. This is what I feel. I know this is not a complete solution and complete information related to this strike but we all should work together to resolve this issue. Finally, it's film fraternity who is suffering and what about those silent issues related to actors and actresses? Who is going to raise their voice?
