Was it a lie?
(Actually happened a few weeks ago)
A friend of mine called me asking for a favor, so I asked him what it was & he said his lights were just cut off & he needed to pay something on his water bill and asked me if I could help… I had to think about it, because I needed the money to move to a new place, so I told him I had to think about it. Well a few hours later he called again, and asked if I would let him and he promised to pay me back and I told him well I need it back because I have to move…. so if I do let you do you promise you will pay me back? (he wanted to borrow $300) he said he was so I trusted him and told him yes….. he lives a few blocks away from me & he didn’t feel like walking over because it was too hot. Well I sure wasn’t going to walk either so he asked his cousin to come get it from me. I met his cousin half way and gave him the money and I told him to make sure he gives it too his cousin he said okay….. Well a few days passed and I haven’t heard from him…. then a week passed haven’t heard anything, then the next thing I know he told me that he hadn’t forgotten about me that he lost his job & that he moved back in with his mom because his lights were off & he couldn’t afford anything. I told him I gave you the money to pay it, he tells me that his cousin didn’t give him the money, his cousin spent the money. I was furious at this point. was it a lie??? wow!!! I made sure I told him again that I needed that money back he said he know. but I’m serious I really do… everything was a lie & im pretty sure I’m not going to get that money back. I messaged his cousin and asked why he spent it and he tells me he thought I gave it 2 him…. and no I didn’t. So basically everything was a lie & I don’t know who to believe & I definitely know that I’m not gonna get that money back.
