He let me go in mid air. I fell to the floor gasping for air.
"If I find out that it's true. You're going to be just as dead as your parents." He spit on me, and left slamming the door. That just flew back open because he kicked it off the hinges.
My best friend Layla came running through the front door. She kneeled down next to me and touched my shoulder. "I wish someone would just end him. If you don't get away Mel, then you gone end up 6 feet under. I told you that my parents have a lake house in the Ozarks. They will give you money to hold you until you get a job. What is keeping you here?"
I looked over at my grandmother, who was standing franticly in the hall. I could see the tears in her eyes.
"My Cari! She is sick, and her doctor is here, in Texas. I can't leave her. I am all she has" I cried.
Layla stayed the night with me. We pushed one of mommy dearest old chest against the door to hold it close.
Layla has been my best friend since we were 10. Our birthdays are on the same day, October 19th. Layla moved here with her parents at 10, from Missouri. We went to the same Elementary and have been glued to each other ever since. Layla's mom landed a good job when Layla was in 6th grade and they switched her to private schools. Good thing is they brought the land next to ours and had a 3 story house built.
***Layla's P.O.V. (Point of View)***
When Mel was sound asleep I went back home. I really hate how Carl treats her, but a person will only do what you allow.
My parents are away on vacation. I ran a hot shower and peeled off my gown.
"You miss me?" I heard a deep voice behind me. I could feel the heat of his body close to me. He wrapped his arms around me from the back, and slowly worked his way down to my clit. Moving it in circular motions. I could feel myself about to explode. He stopped and made me face him. "I said , do you miss me?!"
I stood on my tip toes and kissed him. "Yes, Carl." I said shamelessly.
