Waking Dream
Closing my eyes to let sleep overcome me I slip into a dream and my mind clears up. I walk endlessly in a dark hallway, pictures lined up on each side. I continue walking every step lighter than the other. Eventually I come to a door with a sign on it that says "Hall of Life". I grab at the handle and push it open covering my ears as it makes a slight creak. I then walk in and wander those mysterious halls of which I didn't know existed.
Walking through the "Hall of Life" I soon come upon my own picture hanging on the wall and looking quite small amongst all the others.
I walk towards it wanting a closer look when I stop dead in my tracks. A lady grabbed my picture and set it in a box that read "Hall of Death".
Grabbing either side of my face I shake myself and try to wake up but I never do. I stumble and fall to my knees in shock of the nightmare I was having.
"It can't be true!" I say in disbelief.
But little did I know that it was very real as the next step I took everything around me changed to a scenery that I had never before seen.
