Talk talk part one
Good evening everyone, I would like to let you into my life. Because I am just over 6’8 and still growing. I would like to let you in on the day-to-day struggles that come with being so big. Now I know it has been talked about before, in shows and documentaries of famous giants, such as Andre the Giant. But I would like to take it from a different angle. The angle is of someone who wasn’t supposed to be a giant. I find this to be unique, as those who are big their whole life tends to take certain paths in life, like being athletes. For example, the biggest success stories are of those who had a problem, like being big, and made it a positive. They would often do this by finding things that suit their conditions. This brings them money and fame letting them live a more comfortable life. Most people who watch these stories don’t get the full feeling of what it is like to deal with the size and no money.
They don’t see how hard it is to fit into a world that doesn’t need you to be big. My example is simple since I didn’t grow to this large size until I graduated school, I didn’t think to do anything with my height. Still need a place to fit in I fell in love with the art of singing, writing, and such. This is where the endeavor begins because there much need to be a giant in the world of art. Especially since fame is such a pipe dream. As of the writing of this, I’m working in a factory and living a lower-middle-class life. So here are the problems I have and maybe you can relate.
We start at the beginning of the day; I get up and get dressed. Here we encounter the first problem of the day, clothes. Now before you stop reading thinking why I don’t go to things like Big and tall or order online. Well, it boils down to money and comfort. If I go too big and Tall, I will have to shop online because there isn’t one, that cares about my size, in my area. That poses the problem of how they size it. They could make there 2x for fat/muscular people and it hangs off me. On the other hand, it’s too tight and I can’t raise my arms. See I’m 235lb which is big, but not at this height. The next option is to order a website that allows you to put in measurements. This is where the money comes into play. As of the writing of this, I have three pairs of pants. They're not fancy or even a big-name brand. They cost me 98$, not including shipping. Now I will say I give up stile to wear baggy or too tight shirts from big box stores.
The last thing I want to mention on clothes is shoes. I have, at this moment, no idea where to get shoes. I don’t want to buy them online because certain brands size different and you don’t know if you like them without trying them on. I wear between 15 wide. This site isn’t often carried in-store and if it is, they must order it. Which starts the new set of problems. This doesn’t even include work boots. They are a special case because if I can find a sports shoe store they can carry my size in shoes but they next to never have boots. Lucky, I have a pair of shoes and I put them on to finish getting ready for the day.
