He was panicking and suddenly had an idea.
He sprinted towards a military vehicle at top speed. Swinging his claws sideways to get rid of the infected on the way.
(Coming to a hive this early is a bad idea), he thought.
As he approached the tank, the tank fired at him, he slid and avoided the missile. The missile hit one of the hunters and threw it backwards.
He jumped and landed on top of the tank at it's blind spot.
The tank kept firing bullets and missiles at the creatures.
Alex relaxed and was about to escape when the half-leader flew towards him. The tank has killed four of the hunters and only one remained still battling it out with the tank.
Alex gripped the arm of the half-leader and jumped up flinging it away.
It fell into a wall and jumped out almost immediately towards Alex.
"Grr.. Since I can't lose you. I'll kill you", he said and glided away from the hive. Seeing that the leader followed him, he was elated and jumped down.
The half-leader, isolated from its pack, was no longer as frightful as before.
With insane speed, it lunged towards Alex with its hand forming a claw. Alex leaped into the air and turned around and landed on its head.
He thrust both claws into its head and kept stabbing its head with its claws.
The half-leader yelped as blood incessantly flowed down from his head.
Alex somersaulted and landed a few meters away and did a super kick at the half-leader's head.

"Great benefits. I should have devoured it before it died. Still great though. I better head back now.", he said as he sprinted towards the safe house.
When he got back to the roof top, he activated his system.

Tendrils joined together and manifested a dark red shield on his left arm. His right arm turned into four razor-sharp claws.
He tried and focused his might into his right hand and slammed the claw into the ground.
Four large spikes sprouted from the ground ten metres away from him.
"Nice. Guess I made the right choice after all."
He entered the door on the rooftop and descended a flight of stairs and entered an apartment.
"You're back. That's great", Dana said when she saw him enter.
"What've you been up to?", he asked picking up a packet of cigarettes, lighting one up.
"I placed some clues together and found out that Simon John, one of the top officials in the Us Marine Corps was working hand in hand with GENTEK some months back", she said and paused to look at his expression.
"So you think he must have known something about BLACKLIGHT. That a good hypothesis. I just hope I can get to the bottom of this real quick.", he said.
"A military convoy is waiting to pick up. If you can somehow intercept him. And maybe.. con... consume him to get his memory like you said. Just be careful", she said and looked back. But by the time she looked back, he was already gone.
