Something that happened between me and Abdul azeez Adekanmbi
That fateful morning, Adekanbi Abdul Azeez popularly known as Alfa joined us on the assembly with all his hair shaved (faa don). So most of the student did the usual thing by taunting him, tapping and rubbing his shining head. At times Alfa would complain about this and at times would keep quiet.
Things like this were things I also enjoyed doing😋. In fact, it filled me with pleasure 😁. But that morning I didn't participate In the tapping and rubbing.
Fast forward to closing period, Alfa, Habeeb (Eku), A' azeez Tajudeen (Bojan) and I were outside the school having discussion. Has Alfa was talking to me, I was engrossed in looking at his shining head and it was as if his head was telling me to tap it but I controlled myself. This head was beckoning at me continuously and it got to a point where I couldn't help but to tap it and it made a 'TAH' sound. All hell broke loose 😡. I tried to placate him but all my effort proved abortive.
Alfa who was filled with anger took a big stone and aimed it at me but fortunately for me, it went over my head (sigh of relief). And at that point I knew I had bitten off more than I could chew so I ran faster than my legs could carry me 🏃♂️. As I was running, I looked back sporadically to be sure of Alfa's plan. Alfa who was still boiling took another stick and aimed it at me and this time around it hit one of the two guys (who were in their late 20s or early 30s) who were discussing on one side of the road. The guy whom the stick hit, stepped on it (the stick). Alfa, who could not still contain his anger instead of apologising to the guy before taking the stick, bent and tried to carry the guy's leg so he could take the stick and aim it at me again.
This guy was very upset❗ 😠. Little did Alfa know that as he bent, the closest part of his body to the guy's hand was his head and to add insult to injury, the guy tapped Alfa's head out of being upset and I heard a louder 'TAH' sound from a distance. That really got me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣. Alfa stood up with his eyes filled with tears and looked at the guy angrily for a long period that only God knows. I thought he was gana beat the guy but thank God he came back to his senses because I knew this guy will beat him blue black.
The whole thing looked as if it was my fault. How was it my fault? Other students enjoyed his head in the morning and he didn't throw stone at them. When it was my turn to enjoy, he tried to deprive me.
