Daddy's little girl
Whilst growing up, I remember my dad, with his warm special ways, lifting me high, throughing me into the air and catching me again tightly in his arms. I knew he will never let me fall. He loved me so much.

I could see the love he felt for me in his beautiful eyes. His eyes spoke volumns. He loved calling me Moenie, which means, " Little doll, " in Hindi. I was his treasure, his everything and so was he to me. My dad was my whole world.

I watched from afar, a father who did his best for his children. He woke up every morning and went to work, even though he was so sick, since he suffered from depression. He had to be on medication which really made him feel very tired but his sickness did not hinder him from achieving his dreams.

He was the owner of one of the best aluminium companies in kwa zulu natal. After work, he would love to do things around the house. He always kept himself occupied. His family was his everything. I also have two brothers.

He loved life. That's what I admire about my dad. His zest and enthusiasm and his legacy still lives on as my mum and two brothers have taken over the business now. He passed away three years now due to the covid pandemic.

He leaves behind footprints in my heart that will never be erased. I will never forget my dad. I still have tears rolls down my face as I'm writting about such a precious treasure in my life, who was taken away so suddenly from me and my family.

I know to him I will always be daddy's little girl. Oh, how I miss my dad but his safe now in the loving arms of Jesus. I know his in a better place now. I will always cherish the special moments with my dad, and until that one sweet day I will see him again, I will live on those moments forever!
