Crazy (Chapter 1)
Pepper woke up at 5 am that breezy morning in early June to get ready for school. It was the last day of school so she made sure to get up far earlier than she normally would so she could enjoy as much school time as possible. Pepper was the only person she knew that actually liked school. Her friends, family, and even her boyfriend made fun of her for it but she didn't care. It was what she loved.
Not even twenty minutes after she had gotten out of bed her brother, Matthew, was already knocking on her door to wake her up. "Peppy. Are you awake? We need to get ready for school." He said softly through the door.
"Yes, Matthew. I am awake. I'm trying to get ready."
"Oh okay. I just thought I'd let you know that Theodore is making pancakes so you might want to hurry or they'll be gone."
"Thanks." She replied flatly.
Pepper brushed and did her hair and then picked out an outfit for school. It was a pair of short Jean shorts with a semi tight tank top and she grabbed her Converse shoes to go with it. She put on a necklace or two to accessorize and went downstairs.
She saw her two other brothers, Theodore and Paxton, fighting over a pancake while Matthew was lying on the floor, clearly defeated. Pepper giggled and sat at her spot at the table.
Pepper always liked having three brothers. It made it better that they were all quadruplets, or as Paxton always said, "From the same litter." Even though sometimes they could be a bit too overprotective, she still appreciated them.
She ate her pancakes quickly and went to grab her bag by the front door so she could check over her homework.
"Hey sis?" Matthew called out, still laying on the floor.
"Hmmm?" Pepper hummed in response.
"Do you have any plans for after school?"
"Probably just try to find a summer job I guess."
"Oh. Well are you still going to watch Daphne for Mrs. R?"
Daphne is their neighbor. Pepper regularly babysits her and their family's have become quite close. Even though Peppers parents are hardly ever around, they do appreciate Mr. and Mrs. Rabbitt.
"Yeah. Of course." Pepper told him with the 'duh' tone of voice.
"Good. She's such a cutie." Matthew smiles. "Oh but that reminds me! Mrs. R invited us all over for dinner since mom is working late again and dad just had to go back to the Military."
"Alright."
Pepper was about to speak again when she heard the school bus pull up in front of thier house. She zipped up her bag fast, threw it over her shoulder, and ran out the door. Her brothers scrambled to get their stuff, but ran out shortly after her.
