Against disrespect:
Deuteronomy 5:16
[16]Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Jesus refuted the tradition of Korban because it entertains disrespect and irresponsibility of children to their parents. This tradition meant that because children already pledge their resources to the temple treasury for God, they are now justified not to extend resources to help their parents:
Mark 7:11
[11]But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

He instructed people to honour our earthly parents but most importantly, to bring glory to our heavenly parent, God the Father:
Matthew 5:16
[16]Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven....
