last grip
That was the end semester last day of college...
Some of her friends are bidding farewell by inviting to their wedding. Few of her class mates are planning for the perfect date with their loved ones. Others are seriously clue less. It was pacca sunny day, hot air oozing around them. Trees were absolute hopeless, standing still without any movements. Though the mood was rustic ,nothing stopped the cheered girls after their exams.
Girls around all the departments started dancing, singing ,laughing and roaring at their friends name in the joy of completing their exams. It was happy roar everywhere!
Sighing and bidding goodbye to her friends she felt exausted , she terribly needed a tea and bread bajji which was famous in her canteen. Leela was hard core tea addict and at anytime anywhere she was ready to taste the tea. Even the very word of tea could save her for long. It was the love of her life.
Whenever she was happy she longed for a tea. If she was upset she needed it as a solace. If she got along with someone in her life, the first thing blinked in her mind was tea. She always wanted to commence a conversation with them by having company of strong masala chaaaaai!
Apparently now she is in a dilemma, she needs peace, so she came in search of solution to canteen.
Akka... One chaai with high sugar and bring a plate of bread bajji. ( shouted)
With a beautiful curve in her face Brindha akka brought a tea. The whole college was addicted to Brindha akka's tea as if some mesmerism mixed. The aroma would make everyone go mad for the chaai.
Rolling a tea glass in her hand, Leela was glaring at the girls who were giggling, fighting and some of them having cheesy conversations in the phone, usually she used to eavesdrop them but then she was not ready to do it. Some thing pricks inside her mind. On giving slow tapps at the table she started sip her tea...
Mmmmmmmmmmm..... Waaah.. Brindha akka...... If I were a billionaire I'll hire you for a lifetime.. Your tea is just awesomeeee!!!
Leela shouted and got ready to munch her bread bajji. With in flash of second someone grabbed her bajji.. Oh!! Ghosh.. Who the hell????
Her grinning made Leela get anxious more and more..
How many times I told you, Not to grab them.. Why are you doing itehh ??
Yelled at Reshma, Leela's only and loyal friend in her college.
After seeing Reshma's puppy face Leela melted and apologized!
Who needs bloody sorry in between thick friendship , she needs bread bajji.. Aahn
Both of them started munching them and bid a happy good bye to Brindha akka and said 'we will miss your tea'.. When they said the whole people gave a awkward look at them. Immediately grabbed their bags and ran towards the bus stop opposite to their college.
They became besties in the canteen on the very first day of college, till then they both had many fights, many misunderstandings but they never thought about splitting their paths. They always wish to have a journey in the same road by holding their hands ,even though they were from different departments Reshma was from B. Com and Leela was from English literature.
Both of them always hangout together in the canteen and ice cream parlour near the students xerox! Was their favourite spot and Whenever they find a time they would bunk the class and ready to explore the city like baes.
What else we could find in the girls friendship other than craziness coated with hundred percent pure insanity??
Reshu... Reshu.. Called Leela looking at the auto walas.
Reshma responded with a slide tired tone what happened?
Have you thought about your masters??
Asked Leela to Reshma.
Forget it,
I have lot to concentrate than doing useless masters, anyway I'm going to cook at someone's kitchen as maid in the name of Daughter in law..
Why should I concentrate on f**ing masters??
Snapped at Leela.
Leela was startled,at her answer though she heared it for the Nth time, this time its quite strange in her reply.
After a pause, Leela again started her conversation ask me about my plan!
Reshma replied I know it's him!! With weird smile on her face.
Leela was quite surprised in her response and waved her hand towards the approaching bus.. She couldnt fig out how did Reshma knew about it finally she was relieved, both of them got into the bus!
They never knew that was their last journey to hold hands 😣😣 that last grip exchanged thousand stories with tears!
