Write a short story on what you should do if there was a widespread power outage and no one knew when it would be restored.
The town roared in groans and grunts. The power went out and everything went dark. Not in a scary way, no. It was so dark, all you could see was the bright moon illuminating the sky alongside with the shimmering stars.
One by one, the townspeople walked out of their houses to stare at the beautiful scenery above them—something they have long forgotten. One can only appreciate something once your eyes could lay on them.
They began counting starts—how many were red or blue. Could they see the northern star from here? Hopefully so.
The world seemed so bright despite the darkness veiling the town.
The sky seemed so near, it was as though you could easily reach the moon, and pass it around like a ball.
The world seemed alive.
