I have seen many people in my life who present themselves as devout worshippers, performing rituals more fervently than usual and constantly talking about their devotion. They often try to show that they know everything about our dharma shastra and puja rituals. However, many of these individuals (not all, but most) are continuously doing wrong things. They can be greedy, selfish, critical, or even harmful to others.I don't understand how they can claim to respect and believe in God or have knowledge of dharma shastra, yet behave this way. I think it's better to do nothing than do wrong thing. If they truly believe in God, why don't they fear doing wrong? Don't they realize that if God exists, we are all her children, and harming others is unacceptable? Just as a mother cannot bear to see one of her children harming another, God would not tolerate such behavior, no matter how much they profess their devotion. Shame on those who call themselves God's children and act this way. And to those who fake their knowledge of the shastra.... go back and read it again. Try to understand the true teachings of the scriptures. If you still can't understand, then you are such a fool.
