The Parable of Cups
I prayed to Jesus and God about Prophets relating to the revelations I have been given which clarify revelations held within the church. I am always told that the Prophet of the LDS Church is real and true, but that he is self limited according to his ability to hold, receive, and pour forth. Despite this he is still overflowing with the truth of God, Jesus gave me this parable to help us understand.
The Parable of Cups
A cup of one size can only hold so much fluid before it becomes full and can hold no more and overflows.
Another cup that sits beside it may hold more water according to its larger stature and greater ability to receive before overflowing.
Two cups are sitting before you. One large cup and one small cup. Both are overflowing with water and good to drink from, they differ only in their ability to receive water and to pour it forth.
What cup would you drink from?
You would drink from the largest cup and be fulfilled as it is running over with water.
Both contain living water that quenches thirst eternally. The source of the living water is Jesus Christ. He is the well that we draw water from. The bucket we draw water with is our faith. I am overflowing with...
