PART 3B

*BOTH DONE EATING. NOW TALKING OVER DRINKS*

Banks: Catch me up to speed. What's the 411?

Girl: (Sighs heavily)

Banks: Oh oh

*Both giggle*

Girl: Let me see, where do I start? My business is thriving. Uhmm, getting more visibility. About to move to a new place. Yea, I guess that's about it.

Banks: (Softly claps) bravo! Now isn't that beautiful. Love it for you, congratulations.

Girl: Thank you. Thank you. (Gesturing by bowing). What about you. How's your move from town been?

Banks: It's been an experience. Lots of not so great in between, but, overall, amazing. I really needed to leave. I have no regrets.

Girl: Glad to hear that. And what about work?

Banks: Work is work, you know? But I enjoy it. If I didn't, I would have left a long time ago. Passion or interest you could say is the ginger of one's work life.

Girl: I agree.

Banks: My heart goes out to the lot who have found themselves in jobs they have no liken for, they must be so miserable.

Girl: I know of many. And it reminds me to be grateful for doing something I love and earning from it.

Banks: Yes. Truth, you partly inspired my move, slash my job.

Girl: Oh really?

Banks: Oh yes. Your entrepreneurial mind and zest was at first intimidating until I changed my perspective and it became a source of motivation for me. You learned a skill you had passion for. You went for upgrades, you were focused. You dreamed big and it didn't scare you. I remember you saying, I'm going to make a living out of this. I'll be one of the most sought after. Years later, you did all you wanted to do and became all you said you would. It pushed me to go after something I enjoy doing, and also to not be afraid to dream big. You showed me that work can be enjoyable. In this town, you can't think clothes and not think you.

Girl: (Staring and listening in awedness, managed to speak) Banks.Your words are too kind and warm. I'm getting teary (she reaches for her handkerchief)

Banks: Oh no, don't cry. (You could see the concern on his face)

Girl: No, no, It's the good kind.

Banks: Sure? You good?

Girl: Yea, I am. Thank you Banks. It's been a while seen I've felt seen. A long time. And I'm touched that you still remember all that. I don't even remember some of them.

Banks: (Leans forward, takes her hand in his, gently caressing) You'd be surprised at all I remember, especially when it comes to you. What's there to forget?

They gaze into each other's eyes with such longing. Girl snapped out of the moment as she looked away and cleared her throat.

Banks: Are you okay?

Girl: Yea, I guess something's stuck in my throat. (She reaches for the water bottle and takes a sip)

Banks: Do you feel better?

Girl: Uhm, yea I do. Thanks

Banks: It's getting late, isn't it. Please let me drop you home.

Girl: Alright.
