FLAKY PERCY
Flaky Percy was eight years old. He loves to run around the field catching butterflies, if he ever can, and generally having the time of his life. The clear blue sky and warm sunlight kept his face breathlessly flushed.
The wind caught his kite and he ran all the way into the trees, marveling at the speed his kite suddenly took. He would tell his brother, Manny, about it later, but then Manny never cares about anything he does anyway. He always tells him he was just a kid. Maybe, he would keep this to himself.
Letting the kite propel him forward, his face upturned, and a goofy smile covered his face, he continues on his adventurous fast trek. Birds tweeted in the early afternoon, creating a cacophony of melodious song he unconsciously kept rhythm with.
Suddenly, his left foot got snagged on the root of a huge tree and he lost his footing.
"Ah!" He cried out, falling flat on his face, which unceremoniously ended up in animal poop.
A chorus of laughter resounded from the tree, noisy shrieks and fluttery wings. The wind howled also, making a caricature of his predicament.
