Once upon a time the city of Athens was ruled by a very pious king.He had the most beautiful daughter in the world.She was fair as the snow and had long beautiful lashes of gold flowing down her shoulders.Sbe was of marriageable age.Her birthday fell on a solar eclipse.She was thought to posess divine powers.Her name was Athena.
The city of Athens held many secrets.And was surrounded by a great wall.The people of Athens were noble and good.The Name Athens otself was linked to the Goddesses Athena of Greece.She was the main diety of the temples of Athens.
Princesses Athena was brought up with love and care.She was gentle and kind.She was known and destined to marry the Prince of Baghdad.
The Prince of Baghdad was known for his cruel nature.He was the most powerful being in the universe.He had a palace filled with gold coins,jewels and antiques from all over the world.
The Prince was the richest man in the world.Hd was known to be immortal and lived under the title of the' Man who cannot die' or in the language of the people of Athens as "PHANTOM.
But there was one weak and vulnerable point the Prince had and thst was beautiful women.He had heard about Princesses Athena and was desirous of marrying her.She was to be acquired on any cost.
One day the Princesses recieved a proposal of marriage from the King of Baghdad.The people of Athens began to dread the ultimatum.They did not know how to deal with the evil king.
In the meantime the Princesses was soon to be 18 years of age.Her birthday was to be celebrated on a grand scale.People from all over thd world were invited.Fairies,Kings,Saints,Scholars,Animals,Birds,plants,Clouds,Knights,warriors were believed to be attending the function.The tolal cost of the celebrations wss known to have exceeded the wealth of the King of Baghdad.But nobody understood from where the wealth was to be procured.
The Princesses sat sadly beside thx mirror.Shc was a person who loved admiring beauty.She considered herself as extremely beautiful.She loved all the beautiful things in this world.She was known to posses a magic mirror gifted to her by her late mother.As she sat there,a kind of magic seemed to happen.A Fairy who was visiting the neighborhood seemed to have taken a peek at the Princessses who had saddened.
The Princesses would be granted her wish if she was able to find three things more beautiful than her.The Princesses was plaved again in a jeopardy.She went enquiring around the kingdom in her night gown.There near the lake she found an old woman.The Woman was a witch in disguise.But she was the witch of the south who was known for her extreme goodness.
On the lake there was a beautiful Lotus.This Lotus could only be seen during the night.It bloomed there on special days.This Lotus was more beautiful than the Princesses because of this existence.And only a beautiful maiden could recieve the Lotus as a gift.
And as she looked up at the sky ,she saw a most magnificent picture.The Princesses didnot have the permission to wander outside during the night.And this was indeed a splendid sight.The Princesses had never looked at the sky.And for the first time she had found something more beaitiful than her.The Princesses had resolved to buy the sky.And as a payment She was willing to part with her mirror.
Then as the Princesses was climbing up the stairs to her bedroom,she became thirsty.She wanted a glass of water.Suddenly ,she thought of the third gift to be rendered.And then her eyes simply fell on the large tumbler of water.Water in that land was scarce.
And in it she saw what nobody had felt.The real beauty behind her self.
At last the Princesses had all the three things she was happy to part with.The next day when it was time ,the fairy visited the Princesses again.The Princesses had fulfilled all the conditions.
