It was a snowing night, Steve was sitting on his couch by the fireplace reminiscing about the days he spend with his family. He was living in the rented house for thirteen years. The tears were running down his face because he didn't even get a single call from his family since thirteen years. Steve was a stoical person. He moved from Italy to London alone and penniless when he was twenty. No one got on with him because he wanted to be a film director. The pacifying memories with his family were killing him within.

Suddenly, he heard someone knocking at his entrance door. He bend his body to stand up from the couch, walked and opened the door. Astonishingly, Steve saw a girl possessing blue glimmering eyes, fair face and blonde hair. She was wearing a pink velvet dress and a flower hair dress on her head. She had peach coloured dewy lips, beaming giving soothing effect to Steve.
"Who are you?" asked Steve.
"I'm Kate, I come from the post office to give you this letter."
"But who send it to me?"
"I don't know, sir"said Kate giving the letter to Steve.
"It is my dad's letter"said Steve excitingly. "Thank you so much".
"Your welcome sir"said Kate and went.
Steve shut the door and lie on his couch again. He was in ecstasy to receive his dad's letter after so many years. All his grief seemed to be vanished in the air. He read and hold his letter to his chest feeling love being penetrated from the words written in the letter to his heart. He couldn't think of anything and fall asleep on the couch.

Next morning, Steve went to the garden for a stroll to start a beginning of his enchanted life again. To his surprise Kate approached him again with the same appearance.
"Your letter sir" said the Kate softly.
"Thank you" said Steve taking the letter from Kate. He opened it and found that it was his friend, Joe's letter from Italy. He couldn't hold his excitement to read the letter and went back home. Steve spend his whole day just thinking about the letters. Without his family Steve was half dead due to the eternal battle he was fighting of his life. Now it all seemed like this battle came to end. But letters had no end. Kate continuously brought letters to Steve for twelve days which made him to start doubting on her.
On thirteenth day, in the midnight Steve was sleeping. He heard someone ringing his door bell. He woke up from the deep slumber. And walked towards the door to open it in the half conscious state. He saw Kate again with a letter.
"Your letter sir".
Steve took the letter and shut the door. He found out that this letter was from his mother. He was taken aback by what he saw, because his mother was already died when he was just a toddler. He started being frightened. He felt that something was going wrong. Next day, he told everything about letters and girl to his neighbour, Miss Allie.
"I am so fearsome, what should I do?" said Steve.
"Do you know who's Kate"? asked Miss Allie.
"No.." stammered Steve.
" She was the daughter of the owner of your home".
"What do you mean by 'was', isn't she living with them?" asked Steve, suspecting.
"She had taken her own life by hanging three years ago in the house you're living right now" told Miss Allie to Steve.
Steve started being more and more afraid. No sooner he went back to his home. He drunk a glass of water and went straight to his bed room. Suddenly he screamed loudly. By seeing Kate hanging in his room, dead and Steve immediately passed out.
