It was a very humid and hot evening of summer 2008. Human beings, birds and every creature of earth were annoyed with the harsh behavior of nature. It might be the hottest day of the year but for me it was the coolest day of my life. It was the most memorable day of my life, It was the eve of my success. The moments of that dusk are still reverberating in my mind and today also they are as fresh as dew.
 
 
It was the evening of annual prize night of my school where I was invited by my teachers. I was waiting for that moment very curiously. My mother and I went there and sat on the last seat of the auditorium. I was feeling so confident, for the first time in my life and was really ecstatic. We were waiting for my name to be announced and when my name “Shweta Kumari Chemistry Topper 2008 Batch” was announced tears of joy were about to roll down my eyes but somehow I controlled it, and went on the stage and collected my trophy and certificate from the executive of Tata Steel. After that I went to my mom and hugged her with a child like glee. I saw the spark of happiness in her eyes and the feeling that” I am the reason of her happiness” was really inexplicable. At night when I went home my father, grandparents patted my back and praised me. That night I kept gazing on my trophy and was unable to sleep because memories of that evening are echoing in my mind. I realized hard work, patience and determination never goes in vain and  my skeptical attitude vanished. That day was the most commemorating moment of my life. I will cherish it throughout my life.
 

 
I thought of sharing this moment of my life with people, just to make a point that if you really try hard for something you will definitely get it, you just need patience, hard work and perseverance. Initially when we start our journey towards a goal, it seems very difficult and almost impossible. I have never imagined that I will be able to reach my goal, but instead of focussing on the result I focussed on my work and I succeeded. I know it is a small achievement, but it still inspires me because at that time it seemed almost impossible to achieve it.
