The untold reason

The streetlights were dim as the mist enclosed it in its mysterious grip. She peered out of her window into the darkness, was there someone out there or was it her imagination? she remembers she was a little drunk in the party , so she relaxed . slipping down on her mattress she gently freed her hair from the bnana clip and allowed her long hairs to curl up with the touch of wind.
fifteen minutes would have barely passed that she woke up ,as someone was speaking her name out of the windows.
she went to the window and saw someone waving hands towards her.
face was not clear as it was blurry , fog was covering the night . she went down to her garden and saw that he was her childhood classmate.
she said ,"Abhi it's so late why are you here"?
Abhi- it's not that late.
she- have you looked at the watch ,it's 1:42.
Abhi- oh sorry you're talking about time.
she- seems like you are still funny.
Abhi- may be!
she- okay,what brings you here so early!!
(saying this she giggled)
Abhi- you know Mayra it's been 12 years I had not talked to you.
Mayra- I really forgot the past in this meeting. I too wanted to know the reason , were you upset ,angry , irritated what made you ignore me?
i have a blurred memory whether I hurt you??
Abhi- No not at all.
Mayra- So?
Abhi- actually Mayra ......there was a pause
(silence was being disturbed by the whistle of the leaves).
I didn't wanted to be distracted.
Mayra- What ??
Abhi- I wanted to be your friend but I thought this would hamper my studies ,so I decided to stay silent. and i too thought you might complain to the teacher !!
Mayra- really , you did it for study? that's good but I thought it was my mischief that hurt you and you started ignoring me.
Abhi-do you really think you could hurt someone?
Mayra-why ?
Abhi- hurting with this sweet voice??
ummmmmm...quite tough.
Mayra -thats good you are still funny.
Abhi-You know I am really sorry for all these years . Being busy in my work place too was a reason and more than this I was actually gathering courage to tell you all these.
Mayra-You know I was short tempered but I forgive easily. it's okay.
Abhi- Thank you so much Mayra!
Mayra- it's okay, so what are you doing now?
Abhi- I am working at aiims Delhi at neuro - department.
Mayra- so I guessed right!
Abhi- guessed?????
Mayra- Actually you seemed so interested in class discussions of biology.where almost every time i felt sleepy.
Abhi- you are still a good observer.
and what about you?
Mayra- I am a writer and member of the NGO here.
Abhi- So! I too guessed right!!
( both burst into laughters)
Mayra - So Abhi are we friends again?
Abhi - Absolutely , when you already forgave me .
Mayra - that's fine .
(they talked about their families other school friends and were happy).
Abhi- Mayra I have my ring ceremony next on this fortnight.
Mayra- Wow ,congrats man!
Abhi- thank you, I wish to see you there too if you find some time apart from your busy schedule.
Mayra - Oh sure , i will try to come .
Now the morning was on its way and the moon on it's depart Mayra and abhi- kept on talking and laughing about all the years back .
suddenly the alarm started buzzing .
Mayra- Abhi,I have a meeting today at 9.30 so I should get prepared for it , hope you don't mind.
Abhi- Absolutely not, see you soon.
Mayra - Abhi are you here for your work?
Abhi - yes actually i have my seminar here in the city , i am leaving back after 2 days .
Mayra - okay that's good.
Abhi - I will meet you before leaving , on a condition that this cup of coffee happens to be completely filled.
Mayra burst into laughter , okay sure i will make it more delicious next time.
They both moved to their work and the day began.
