Shadows
Chapter 1
The cool breeze was refreshing. the lights Through the streets were shinning if there life depended on them. the streets were scares with no life in it except for one life which sat on a bench under the tree. low whimpers could be heard mixed with pain and sadness.
Unmistakably that was a young woman. Shading tears of unfairness. maybe or maybe not. but would know except for her.
Her face was clear and hear taers shinned like sparkling diamonds. she looked through her sorrou dining, sighed and left.
she dragged herself through the streets to her house. leaving with no one except the coldness of the four walls.
Throwing her jacket on the couch, she lies down thinking about nothing and slowly drifting into unconsciousness.
Lyne was simple to others eyes but not that simple. she came from Vampiousis. her parents were murdered from a coup and she escaped with her grandfather to Los Vegas.
with no doubt she slept peacefully as if nothing happened. no one knew how broken she was.
but she had to survive. survive the harshness of life. survive the bulling of life.
she had to to be strong. but deep down she knew that she was weak. so weak that she could fall with just a push. she wasn't made of stone. she had feelings too. feelings that makes one weak emotionally rather than physically.
she had just graduated from University and applied for an internship in one of the most famous company in Los Vegas as an IT assistant. something that she loved doing.
she was one fine lady that was driven by dreams that she achieved some. dreams that she will live happily without sorrows. find her happiness in her own way.
Her life was somehow screwed. all hope gone and now she had to live with how the day presented itself. all around her seemed to scramble with a fast rate.
yet she slept so peacefully, deciding to put her troubles aside for another day.
The alarm woke her up.reminding her of yet another tiresome day.
dragging her fragile body up,with dark circles around her eyes, signifying she didn't get enough sleep, she took a warm bath while brushing her teeth at the same time not wanting to be late for work on the first day.she worked at a restaurant as a waiter.
locking her door hurriedly, she hailed a cab though she could drive and headed to work.
the day ran quite smoothly for Lyne. serving food and drinks made her forget everything for the time being.
the ringing of her phone made her realize what time it was.
"hey Kyle, what's up?"
"nothing much, how have you been"?"
" quite good, nothing interesting so far, maybe at your side"
" well, are you free at 6? wanna meet up"
" yeah, sure."
" okay, 6 then, bye"
" bye!"
It was only 4pm and she wished that the day could end up quickly.
At 6:15, she headed at their meeting place where there love story started months ago.
