Chapter 14: Happily Ever After,

Shocked, she glanced back and forth between Noah's smiling face the brilliant diamond on her finger.

Lia: Noah .....

Noah I know this might seem a little sudden for you, Lia, but I've been wanting to do this for a while. Thankfully, you never heard my thoughts about this because I wanted to surprise you!

Lia: ......

Noah: I would have done this sooner, but with all the citizens going on lately, it never seems like the right time. I know this isn't some big romantic gesture, but I just couldn't wait any longer. Besides, I wanted this to be an intimate moment. Just for you and me!

Lia: Oh my goodness, Noah this is perfect!

Noah: So is that a yes? Will you be my wife?

Speechless, she smiled and nodded.

Noah: You've made me the happiest man in the world!

Noah hugged her tightly.

Noah: So, I guess that means we should decide what to do about your position. Do you still want to as my assistant. I'll respect whatever you choose my love!

Lia: I hadn't thought about how this would change things at work. Noah, I think continue working as your assistant. Let's face it, you'd be lost without me!

Noah: I don't deny that. Are you sure?

Lia: Of course, we've managed for this long. I think you and I can make anything work!

Noah: Good. I'm glad that's settled. Now I can just enjoy my gorgeous fiancè!

She laughed as Noah climbed onto the bed, grabbing her and pulling, her close as he smothered her with kisses.

6 MONTHS LATER ........

Lia stood in the dressing room as everyone else fluttering about preparing for her big day.

Lia: I can't believe the day is finally here. And Noah spared absolutely no expense on this wedding. Everything is so beautiful!

Clover: Girl I cannot believe you're marrying Noah Kason ...... on a freaking private island. I just need you to run some of your luck off on me so I can marry my own rich Millionaire!

Lia laughed as she looked over at Clover, who was sitting beside her. The sound of the ocean waves just outside the dressing room calmed the butterflies in her stomach.

Lia: I don't know how I got so lucky, but somehow I did!

Clover: Well Noah can hook me up with one of his Millionaire friends, then!

Lia laughed again as Clover chattered on, but her mind wondered to her future husband.

Lia: I just can't wait to get the rest of our lives started. I hope I can make him happy as he makes me!

Clover: Earth to Lia?

Lia: What? Sorry. were you talking to me?

Clover: You've got it bad girl l. I said it's time to pick which wedding dress you're going to wear. Come on!

Lia followed Clover over to wear the dresses that were hanging.

Clover: So which one is it going to be?

Lia chose the most beautiful and elegant dress.

Clover: Oh my god girl you look stunning, now I'm in love with you!

Lia: Ahahaha Oh stop!

Clover and the stylists helped her on the finishing touched, and she took one last look in the mirror.

Lia: Time to finally marrh the man of my dreams!

With one final glance, she left the dressing room.

It was finally time, Lia's father stepped next to her and linked her arm in his.

Lia's dad: You look beautiful, sweetheart!

Lia: Aww thanks Dad!

She took a deep breath and let her father lead her down the aisle where Noah stood smiling brightly. As soon as he laid eyes on her sbe noticed his eyes widened as he took in how beautiful she looked. As she reached the alter, her father placed her hand in Noah's, and he helped her up the steps.

Noah: I swear, Lia. You get more beautiful every day!

She turned and looked into the audience, her heart filled with joy to see your closest friends and family members. Despite the grandness of the wedding, she and Noah decided to keep the guest list small.

Lia: We certainly didn't need anything else leaking out to the media. I just want to enjoy this wonderful day with my friends, family and my wonderful husband-to-be!

She turned back to see Noah gazing lovingly at her.

Lia: Nothing could make this day more perfect!

The officiant leaded Lia and Noah in their vows as they hold each other's hands.

Wedding Officiant: By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you hunsand and wife. Noah, you may kiss the bride!

The hall erupted into applause, cheers and whistles as Noah lifted her veil. Wrapping his arms around her, Noah pulled her to him, kissing her amidst the cheers. As he pulled back, she saw the bright pink blush of his cheeks and she felt her heart bursting with love for her husband. He leaned down and kissed her cheek before whispering in her ear.

Noah: I love you so much, Mrs. Kason!

Lia: I love you so much more, Mr Kason!

After the ceremony ended, Lia and her guests moved to another area of the wedding hall for the reception. Lia was talking and laughing with Clover while Noah greeted his family. Suddenly, Lia felt a tap on her shoulder.

Molly: Lia, You look so beautiful!

Molly hugged her tightly.

Molly: Welcome to the family, darling!

Lia: Thank You Molly, that means so much to me!

Bianca: Lia!

Lia turned to see Bianca and gave her a hug as Molly slipped away.

Bianca: Everything was so beautiful. You and Noah renewed my faith in love!

Lia: Thank You Bianca. I'm happy to hear you say that!

After greeting the guests, she walked over to where Noah was waiting for her. As she does, someone catches her eye.

Lia: Was that ......

Lia quickly turned back and saw a small old woman standing near the door.

Lia: It is her. The old woman who made all of this happen!

She holds Lia's gaze as her wrinkled face spreads into a wide smile. She nodded at Lia. Lia bowed her head in her direction, but as she looked up she had already disappeared.

Noah: Everytging ok, sweetheart?

Lia turned to look at Noah and smiled happily.

Lia: Yes, everything is wonderful!

Noah smiled as he kissed and led her out to the dance floor for the first dance as husband and wife. The wedding was beautiful, but she was excited to finally spend some alone time with her new husband.


Lia: Noah, I can't thank you enough for how today was. It was a dream come true!

Noah: Marrying you was my dream come true. I would have paid anything to make this day the best day of your life. Should we get a little more comfortable?

Lia: Yes please!

She began to undress, but she couldn't reach the buttons on the back of her dress.

Lia: Noah, can you help me?

Noah came over and began slowly unbuttoning her dress, and his fingers gazed her skin as he he does. The sensations turned her on and she moaned softly.

Noah: Getting festivities a little early, I see!

Lia: I can't help it. Whenever you touch me, it sends shivers down my spine!

Noah: Well, I could help with that!

She turned and pressed her lips against Noah's as he continued to unbotton her dress.

Lia: It's been a long day. I'm tired!

Noah: That's ok my love, we have forever!

Noah laid on the bed and pulled her close. Happy and fulfilled, she drifted off to sleep in the arms of her husband.

The next day Lia and Noah walked hand in hand on tue beach, enjoying the salty sea air.

Lia: Who knew something as simple as walking the beach with my husband could make me so happy?

Noah: What are you thinking?

Lia: Just how happy you make me!

Noah lifted her hand kissed it softy.

Noah: So, what do you want to do today?

Lia: I think I want to build a sandcastle!

Noah: I was the champion sandcastle builder when I was a kid. Let's do it!

Lia and Noah spent the next hour laughing amd building the most magnificent sandcastle. Afterward, she and Noah sat down in the sand and watched the waves.

Lia: Oh look. Doesn't that cloud look a little a bunny?

Noah looked to where she was pointing and chucked.

Noah: It does. And that one looks like a little fox; can you see it?

She squinted her eyes as she tried to find the cloud that Noah was pointing to. She felt his eyes on her, but she was focused on the clouds.

Noah: I love you!

She looked up to see him gazing adoringly at her.

Lia: What made you say that?

Noah: Because it's all I can ever think when I'm with you. And I want you to know how anchored you are in my heart!

She smiled sweetly at him as she rested against him. Leaning into his chest, she enjoyed the sound of the waves combined with the soft beating of his heart.

Lia: I'm so excited for our future together. It's never looked brighter!
