The Young Girl and Her Flower
One day, there was a young lady who had nothing but a seed of a flower. She went out to her backyard and planted it there-- hoping that one day, it will grow and find company in her lonely place. Every morning, she went there to water it and to greet Good Morning before she went to school. At night before she do her evening chores, she goes there and tells her story of how her day went. Her life revolved in that seed and she treated it as her best friend. She shared her happy moments, as well as her darkest and loneliest time. The lady got attached to it and felt so much excitement with its growth.
In a long period of time, the seed never showed any hopes of growing. Though the seed was watered and treated very well, it didn't come out from the ground. The young lady felt sad. "Hey! I've been waiting for your petals to come out, why you haven't grown yet?" she said with a frown. The young lady got worried about her flower. She got frustrated and worried if it is still alive. "Did I do something wrong?" she whispered in frustration. At winter, she checked on it every hour hoping for changes, but often got disappointed. At weathers condition her doubts of its survival grew. She stared at her window but seen no sign.
Until the last day of winter, the snow got defrost, waking up with weary and frowned face knowing that the seed she planted did not survive. She went downstairs and went to the sink to prepare her meal. The sun captured her attention but it did not compare the joy she felt when she saw from the window that her flower grew and stood from the ground. "Did I make you wait, my dear? Your love and hope called me to live and survive." said the little flower. The young lady burst in tears as she went to her flower-- and they enjoyed the serenity under the sun.
