the wandering samurai
"The sword shouldn't be brought out from the shealth when there is no one who can handle the beast trapped within." Takao read the following message from the last extract his master Nakamura left for him. Loosing his mother, eloping of his father mark the starting instances of Takao's life. The story starts in the Kanagawa prefecture in the present Tokyo District. Asahashi lying under the tree as a shed in late 60's heard the cries of a child kept under the tree. "Uwaah, uwaah", he heard the cry and woke up from his sleep and looked for the source of the sound. "What will happen of this world in future?", he asked to himself in disgust as he was really shocked about the incident because basically it was a jungle and animals could have eaten the newly born infant. He carried the basket in which the infant was there and took him to his home. "What's in that basket?", asked Mitsuhira his wife. He smiled and said,"A light to our hope. An answer to our prayers. God has shown mercy to our wounded souls after such a long passage of time." Asahashi cried like a child in front of his wife and his wife could only have hugged him so that he can be brought into control."What should we name him?", asked Mitsuhira. "The one descending from heaven and coming down to lead a prosperous life, I think we should name him Takaouchi", said Asahashi. "That sounds like an manly name, we will address him as Takkun at home", said Mitsuhira. "No arguments to that as the child deserves so much love to forget all the bad omen in his life, May he becomes a light that will give the correct way to anyone who has diverted from their path." The couple smiled as the day dawned to upbring the next light.
There were no other important instances that marked the life of Asahashi. He saw that Takao was playing with kids of the same age. For no reason, Takao used to sit under a tree and meditate as that was one of his routines for the day. Asahashi keeping watch for the last few days called Takao asking, "What are you doing at the end of each day sitting under the tree, not resting i guesss right?"."I am lucky to have such a loving father like you, but for some reason i feel that the tree i am under gave me life as a present", I feel like I and the tree are connected with an invisible string of fate pulling me to it wanting to talk. But the language always acts as a barrier between our communication that's why i feel our conversation filled with lots of experiences of that tree." Asahashi was so moved that he was in tears and cannot say anything than the tears drowning his heart and surprisingly his heart don't want to come out of the emotion felt. "Why you look so grown already Takao, you could have taken some time right?", said Asahashi in tears as he was able to see some of the glimpse of Takao's future.

One day Takao came running from the market forgetting what Mitsuhira asked him to bring and brought some steel tongs as then went to the field. Only voices like "Tong, Tang, Tong" were coming out loudly as they were followed by the loud "Yaay" letting Mitsuhira to say,"Takao! Takao! what are you even doing there?". She went to Takao in the field and asked, "What is it that you are making? Let me see!!!". Mitsuhira couldn't understand what those two joined steel tongs were for so she was looking at them with a feeling of amazement."Mother i saw that your hands were burnt from cooking the bread in the direct fire and watching those scars made me remember like my heart will burst out and i won't be able to see that happy face that fed me everyday. The thought made me sad to my very existence." Takao's words brought tears to his mother's eyes. "The intent with which you did that touched my soul. Thanks a lot Takao!!!!". "Now i will be able to get a nice goodnight sleep. Thanks mother." chuckled Takao saying to Mitsuhira.
Takao was watching the birds chirping on one fine day and then he heard the sound of the army marching forward. Taking his wooden stick in his hand he posed like a army officer. "You looked good doing that as happy as the person about to wear an armor." "Thanks Yaochan", said Takao smiling to his friend Yaohara. "What you want to be in future Takao?" asked Yaohara."I want to be an army official as they are so cool and brave and if not that then to be a samurai" replied Takao looking at the vast blue sky. "Why samurai Takao? No one lives a good life as a samurai" asked Yaohara worrying about Takao's life."Don't do that Takao ok! can i get that as a promise from you?" asked Yaohara from Takao."I hope that you will keep on lighting the misty paths i come through in my life so i can be more clear to reach the destination.", Takao replied to Yaohara smiling. Time passed quickly and Takao started training in swordsmanship. "You should join a dojo(swordsmanship school in earlier Japan) Takao, you are good in swordsmanship." said the neighbour running chores from the agricultural fields. "Have you decided on a good dojo Takao?", the neighbour asked. "The Hiroshiki Onada Dojo i think is the best to be trained in any sword activities." said Takao in reply. "The great Hiro-Dojo as the one said to be having all mighty professors with a lot of experience and i heard the grandmaster knows Oneipu - the technique of knowing a split second difference in impact hitting."

Takao was really happy and looking forward to the the day of joining the dojo but then reality struck him hard. On the way to the Hiroshiki Dojo, Takao was bullied by some ill-mannered and they asked,"What a runt like you a thrown out poor ugly guy doing at the way of the Hiro-Dojo?" Takao said,"I was not able to choose my fate being born in a poor home but now i can change the destiny of my life so if you want a challenge pick up your swords and i shall answer every question the sword asks with this wooden wanna be sword" "Klank Klank", and then the wooden sword was cut like a piece of paper. "Now what will you do you teaching priest of swordsmanship?" laughing said the ill mannered bullies."I will try to answer you swords with the blade of the heart sharp enough to tear all the voices raising in question of my talent", was the brave reply by Takao. Takao held his ground firmly in front of those arrogant bullies and with 3 slight scratches he came out victorious. "Clap Clap Clap!!!" these sounds marked the acknowledgement the young boy got from the old looking geezer. "Impressive show of valour and bravery young'un","I am so glad to meet you, if i may ask what name you go by?" asked the old man. "Takaouchi it is, sir", Takao replied. "Wonderful name young one, as the one descended from the heavens and coming down to live a prosperous life." "Nice meeting you I am Hiroshiki Onehei grandmaster of the The Hiroshiki Onada Dojo". "Atlast I met the great, Oneipu himself, atlast i can say that i have achieved something in my miserable life." "Don't consider yourself to be so puny young man, life is a food that everyone eats but no one is able to get the full taste.", said the great Onehei himself. "Will you like to join my Dojo?", he added."Certainly sir, i will try to be like you and one day i will try to surpass you the great grandmaster." said Takao with the most generous of voice.
But someone was not happy with the acknowledgement Takao got, the senior student of Hiro Dojo Hiroshi Hatan. "Don't try to climb the tree of which you cannot reach the height!!! Takao", said Hiroshi. "Let's have a dual sir senior Hiroshi" added Takao."I will like to know the limits of my swordsmanship." "That will certainly be pleasantry if you can handle the original sword Takao as well as you can handle that talkative tongue." in a taunting tone said Hiroshi. "I will try to please you as well as I can sir senior."
