When Our Fates Collide (Part.4)
Anikta went home and she dropped her bag on the floor before she enthusiastically said.

Ankita : Ved! Guess what? We are having a competition based on the made up theories about celestial bodies! I can finally show people my capability!

Ved meowed in happiness.

Ankita : I hope you could help me but no worries! You can anyway help me with my work! I trust you Ved!

Just as she said, Ankita and Ved started to work for the competition. Ankita did most of the work and Ved helped her with her indecisiveness. Both of them worked hard for a week, it was a Sunday afternoon when Ankita arrived from her tutions. She saw the house being a mess!

Sai : Ankita! Why the hell I found these things in your room!

She said while she lifted the cat food and some astronomy things.

Ankita : Sai! Why are my things with you!?

Sai : Oh, Anky! Don't play the victim card. What nonsense is this? Did I told you, no astronomy! Why there was cat food in your room?

Ankita : But Sai, weren't you the one nodded when I asked?

Sai : Little liar! I never said that! I want you to do something better Ankita, not this astrology crap!

Ankita : It's Astronomy. First of all, it’s my choice to choose my passion and second of all, you are no one to tell me what to do Sai!

Sai : Do you know who are you talking to Ankita!? I fed you, raised you and cared for you since you were a baby unlike your parents who ran away.

Ankita : They had debts on their heads, Sai.

Sai : No one leaves their child behind because of some stupid debts. They were hypocrites!

Ankita : But they are still my parents! I am grateful that you raised me but you never really paid attention to me. Not to my aspirations, hopes and goals. You weren’t quite really there for me Sai. Where’s Ved?

Sai : Who’s that? Ankita I swear if you have a—

Ankita : He’s a black cat.

Sai : A cat? I remember…I have thrown that ominous cat out of the house!

Ankita : He was my cat! How could you—

Sai : We never had a pet cat and even if we had, that wasn’t black. Are you mad? How could you bring a black cat in the house? He’s the reason why we fighting.

Ankita : Since when you started believing in superstitions! I need Ved back!

Sai : I don’t know where that cat went. Maybe, somewhere—

She couldn’t even complete her sentence when Ankita left without even listening to her

Sai : ANKITA! Wait!

She fastened her pace and searched the streets, asked strangers and called him out but it was useless. Ankita was on the verge of crying, the sun was setting and it was becoming dark. The vibrant orange ray with tints of pink fell on her face as she walked down the street feeling distressed. She felt hopeless and her heart clenched with anger and sadness.
